The alternating pronunciation is a bit Robert Peston like. It's alternating more than a couple of Renault engines were at Valencia on Sunday.

I'm not sure I get these. It's like a specialised competition car whose demand is driven by moneyed customers rather than homologation rules. I don't have a country estate to roar around.

Definitely one for the lottery list! I live nearby (I go running past their place a couple of times a week) and got left standing by the yellow car recently in my Boxster S! They are worth it just for the noise alone

I am not that keen on health and safety but:

When driving a car with a full roll cage, Mr Harris should wear a helmet. Had he crashed that orange thing, his head would have been banging against the (unprotected... ) rollcage tubes. Not so nice!

Not sure about the 50:50 power distribution. I know doing big skids isn't the fastest way about, but it's bloomin fun. From experience, trying to drift things with 50:50 torque splits treads a fine line between huge understeer and massive uncontrolled oversteer. You have to be fully committed to it with plenty of run off. It's not the kind of thing you do on a roundabout exit for example....
