Anyone else had this? Washed my car yesterday and now it's been covered in dust which has made my car filthy along with last nights rain, it seems like the same kind of dust from the Iceland volcano a few years ago. I'm in Stockport by the way and have heard friends from Bristol complaining of the same thing!

It's normally sand from places like the Sahara. It gets picked up by the weather system, forms rain droplets at high altitude and then is dropped over the UK landmass.

Knew my geog GCSE would come in handy one day.

It's all part of the incoming tornado.

My car was the same this morning in sunny Milton Keynes.

Maybe they should write to Mr Cameron and see what he do about it then. Evidently he isn't doing his job correctly wink

Was being factious as you don't have incoming tornado's, just a probability of them manifesting under certain conditions. They also only affect a small area should they occur.

I thought 104 yr old Mrs Robinson from down the road had shat on my car for a minute...... before realising it was on every car and no old lady could emit that much dust.

Wondered why I had to wash the windscreen this morning (Redditch). Saharan sand again then.
