What an awful day cars damaged all over Hinckley buildings damaged after hail the size of tennis balls struck. Anyone else on here in the same situation? Admiral the insurance company have said they have had calls all afternoon. Luckily I am covered under act of God but the state of the GTR brings a tear to my eye frown

Mate had his family Vectra so badly battered he thinks the insurance company will write it off, roof, bonnet, boot lid, door, windscreen 2 side windows, wingmirrors and headlights all done. Nasty stuff can only imagine how bad it must have been to see a GTR like that frown

Blimey, I'm amazed it broke the screen.

Happened years ago where my in-laws live and his almost new Rover 800 needed a new bonnet, roof & tailgate.

In the US they have teams of guys who fly around America fixing hail damage at car dealerships.

Jesus mate! And I was pissed off when I found my GTR covered in sand or whatever it was in the rain this morning!
I hope they write it off.You wouldn't want that back with all the panels repaired and re-painted.

Blimey that's pretty intense. In fact that is usually a sign of a supercell and possible tornado. Hope the car gets sorted.

Every panel is dented except the bumpers, all along the top of the doors are dented roof is horrendous both mirror casings are smashed drivers side took the directional impact so is lightly peppered all over. The GTR was one of the few cars on my road not to get a smashed screen. I will photo my focus windscreen in a minute

Gutted for you OP. Can't imagine how you must be feeling.

Just got off the phone from my Mum who has been working at Brooksby College in Melton Mowbray today. Her car ('07 plate Corsa) has a small dent on the roof and she said there was a Suzuki Ignis in the car park which was pitted all over. Some cars had glass put through aswell.

The college has Princess Ann visiting next week so they've been preparing for that. A lot of the preparation has been damaged by the hail this afternoon. Sounds quite far reaching.

I work in Hinckley frown

My BMW has about 30 dents on the bonnet, roof and bootlid. About 6 cars in my works car park had there rear windows broken and every car was damaged. Also think my car will be written off if I claim on insurance, it's not worth much but it was in great condition for its age.
