That rain is mental.

The only other time that I have seen rain like this was when I lived in South America. In a matter of minutes you would get rivers down what were roads (mountainous). Cars would slice down the hills and windscreens busted and the rest.

Hope it all get sorted for you and all as soon as possible with the insurance.

In Hinckley as well and my Impreza is covered in dents all over the bonnet and roof, but also on a section above the rear passenger door which I almost couldn't believe. All the cars in the car park at work are as bad, some of the bikes were really bad as well.

Really feel for you with the GTR, it looks even worse than mine.

What an awful day cars damaged all over Hinckley buildings damaged after hail the size of tennis balls struck. Anyone else on here in the same situation? Admiral the insurance company have said they have had calls all afternoon. Luckily I am covered under act of God but the state of the GTR brings a tear to my eye frown
Gutted for you. Got GAP insurance? Hope you get treated proper by your insurers.

Any reports of anyone being injured? After watching the youtube video and seeing the damage to the cars,I would've thought anyone caught out in that without cover would be in serious trouble!

For some reason, today was the day I drove to shrewsbury for work, so I completely avoided it. My girlfriend called me up asking if I was okay, and I had no idea what had happened. I thought everyone was taking the piss because of how sunny it was, until I saw some damaged cars.

frown Damage to that GTR is horrible to see, hope your insurers sort you out properly OP.

I know it is just a car but I would be distraught if that happened to my car.

Wondered why my car was covered in sand this evening. Strange. Better than large hail stones I suppose. Feel terrible for anyone affected.

Wow, that is mental, I got caught in one in Calgary, seriously scary and it wasn't as bad as this, apparently happens all the time there.

Wow, I've never even heard of hail like that in the UK. Truly a freak storm and terrible luck OP.

I know a chap whose Impreza P1 was written off by a hailstorm in Italy so I know it happens but it's not the sort of thing you think about in the UK.

Hope you get a fair and speedy settlement from the insurers.
