Quite happy to go against the crowd here and say that I love it. Stonking great V8, RWD and looks pretty damned good too. I am deeply unlikely to buy one for cost reasons, but would still deeply like to. Probably a bit heavier than it needs to be, but as I don't plan on carrying it anywhere, I am less than bothered.

Sweet jesus that new M6 is pig ugly, I thought the previous incarnation was a minger but the post bangle effort we now see is a tripple bagger! BMW may be able to manufacture cracking engines, tech filled cars and fun handling uber saloons but they sure as hell don't produce many decent looking motors at present!! The Z4 coupe is about the only recent beemer that looks ok imho...

As much as I like the M6,I would have to seriously consider an F360 Spider with a Capristo and pocket 50k in the process.

Mine handles Welsh roads extremely well and the ride is better than most German cars. I don't know about the Boss but the older GTs were too soft if anything. The M3 is not a Mustang's rival, it is its benchmark. It can't be a rival at twice the price.

With the 4p plastic interiors and 1950s suspension you would expect it to be only half the price of the BMW.

I like it. It could be worse... It could be in that awful matt (s t) brown that BMW is displaying at the FOS. I noticed that they are now using double columns on the kidney grilles as opposed to singles... When did that start happening? Or is it exclusive to the new 6er? = )

It is half the price in the US. Hard to compare them here because if you imported an M3 from the US, it would still be twice the price IYSWIM How do you know an M3 is faster than mine? Mine has better suspension than the Boss and more power. I'm sure the M3 is easier to extract the most from though. Interiors are subjective. I've never seen a BMW interior I like and the "quality" argument passes me by. Idiots who refer to them as skips are clearly very insecure/petulant/immature.
