She can drive it on the roads like that? Sure fire way to be recognised as one of her cars.

Interesting! http://nice-reg.co.uk/number-plates/number-plates/...

That Veyron is repulsive - they have made it look really cheap (I normally like the solid looks of the Veyron!)

My favourite is the FF, I know it's 4WD and huge, but I love them

The whole foreign plate thing had me Google the regs on this - it would not make sense for it to be open season. I found this on the direct gov website (usual caveat about government site inconsistencies being possible!):

Displaying plates not identifiable in the UK

If you are from a country outside of the European Union (EU) driving a vehicle displaying number plates with non-identifiable numbers in the UK (such as, Arabic script), follow the link below to find out what to do.

Getting a Q number plate during a short visit to the UK(link)
The link then says:

Getting a Q number plate during a short visit to the UK

If you visit the UK with a vehicle that is showing a number plate with non-UK identifiable letters, you’ll need to apply for a temporary UK ‘Q’ number plate. Find out what vehicles will need a ‘Q’ number plate and how to get one.

Vehicles needing a temporary UK ‘Q’ number plate

If you visit the UK for up to six months and bring your vehicle with you, you may need a temporary UK number plate. Vehicles needing a temporary UK ‘Q’ number plate are those showing non-UK identifiable letters and numbers. For example, a vehicle showing Arabic script plates would not be identifiable in the UK.

Temporary ‘Q’ plates are also issued to vehicles that are not registered in their home country but need to be registered in the UK.

Vehicles staying in the UK for a longer period than six months need to register and license here. However, there are exemptions for students and workers who normally live outside the UK but are only in the UK for a set study or work period.
Arabic script plates illegal then? Thoughts?

On the 'spotted' threads there are a lot of cars with Arabic script but they've also got, what we would call, the normal numbers on the plate. I suppose they're ok.

Of all that, there is only one car of which I would like to know the owner:

Anyone got shares in vinyl wrap companies? They must be making a mint.

Yep, the Old Merc is ok, there's a nice Arnage in there somewhere - the rest are pretty grotesque IMHO.

A few details (roof duct etc) aside. Am I alone in liking that Macca? biggrin Gives it a bit more presence. Why didn't they add a few detials to the body from factory. Sure it will date a bit faster, but who cares in 5 years they'll be releasing another car smile
I was thinking the same. Seems more hardcore but not overdone so much like you would expect.
yes roof vent looks pants and I would throw those wheels away....plus make a few tweaks here n there

Back in the real world, if I could ever own one Id leave it looking very standard through fear of devaluing it biggrin

Registered numbers dont reflect a vahicles age until the prefix was introduced, hence the old auction sheet question: has this vehicle ever been re-registered?

A few years ago there was Mustang on Washington state license plates that I would see from time to time locally. One day I got a good look at the numberplate and the registration sticker on it was 2 years out of date.

They were probably chancing that local police wouldn't know what to look for and would probably fall for a "just shipped it over last month" line.

It could be, or it could have been re-registered in 1979.
