From reading the OP. Just wow He has a nice car, grow up and get over it. Recently a friend of mine was being rideculed about his car. (daddys car, stop coming to meets in it and embarrasing yourself) type comments over Facebook. Even when he responded saying it was his car he was not believed and the ridecule continued. This was from a 37year old man, a sad pathetic one at that.

I have a house that suits my needs (it's paid for) located in a modest area
I have an Aston Martin parked in the garage (it's paid for)....
I work hard and spend my money wisely - I'd rather run a 10 year old Audi (that's paid for) than finance a more expensive daily driver or dip into savings and buy a new car. Having a nice car in the garage that you have always promised yourself is surely a part of what being a PH'er is all about?
However, it's heartening to know that there are people out there who are prepared to make sweeping generalisations about my lifestyle and financial situation, and then pass comment on the whether I actually 'deserve' to own a nice motor. Such a shame that success (or however you want to package it) is treated with such envy and negativity in this country.
By and large the comments I receive about my car are positive, and I am always happy to stop and have a chat if interest is shown. I'll do the same if I see a nice motor - there is no envy - as a proper PHer why would there be - I love cars!
Thankfully, from my experience individuals like the OP appear to be in the minority. OP, perhaps you should think before opening your mouth in future!

I'm waiting for the OP to start another thread when the guy is declared bankrupt but the car remains and he fills it up every 2 weeks when his giro turns up!

Sorry the op sounds like a rwat and I was really surprised he is on Ph as most people on here concentrate on their owns lives. When people start b hing about others it highlights the inadequacies they feel.

C I've met a few of them in my escapades in the town. The rumors are true. Anyway, to the OP. Mind your own f king business. What interest are his finances to you. So you consider him being able to 'afford' this car sacrilegious? A waste of a good car? NOt fir for a man that cannot in the very near future afford to fuel it let alone maintain it? So what. I bet for the time he had it and was able to enjoy it he made the most of it. Football underneath is a no go though, it will be flat soon and he'll have to inflate it before he can kick it into your garden to enrage you any more. Good on him, sod the rumor mill and focus your attention on your own personal goals and maybe, just maybe you'll have a lambo that you can't afford. Peace!

I think you shouldn't worry so much about how others spend their money! Bigger issues in the world than Lamborghini's outside modest houses! True, the Rogue Apostrophe question is far more important.
