Meant to say, i've got a Golf GTI E35 down for 'evaluation' whilst i decide what car i want.
I've decided i want a Golf GTI, balls to a boring derv box.
I'd forgotten how good a GTI is.

I actually had a look at that car in the first link. Looked nowhere as good in real life as it does in the advert. I've found that lot recently, makes me think I should just hold onto my v70 awd!

Is this mostly internet fable or is there some truth to it?

Is this mostly internet fable or is there some truth to it? The early awd system like mine requires all 4 tyres to be within 2mm of each other. Just make sure like anything else it's been well maintained. I've had not problems with mine at all, in the winter of 2009 and 2010 it really was fantastic in the snow and ice. I picked up a second hand set of alloys and bought a new set of avon ice touring for them. On a day to day basis the 2.4 lpt unit is a fantastic match for the car. Cheers, C

F40, easily. Enzo does make me wonder how ugly Ferrari would have to make a car before people will look past the badge. Dare say the F50 is pretty hideous from the front, too, but at least that's got a V12 bolted straight onto the back of the tub and a spanish box.

Not that it makes it any more relevant to my life, I'm pretty sure that number still starts with a 3. Had a poke around an Enzo today and it is an awesome thing, but Gravy's point is valid and you could have an F40 and a few others for the same outlay. Chances are, if you're buying an Enzo, you already have a few others anyway.
