Your right about the ERST being more sought after, but they can fetch £5k+ for decent S2's.

Like you say, it's hard to put a price on a car when there are only a handful of cars for sale and they can all be massively different in condition. I can't really tell how clean that other white one is from those particular pictures whereas you can clearly see the underside of mine and how good it is.

I may consider dropping it slightly to try and arouse more interest. I will ask a mate of mine to see what he thinks as he is very well known in the Ford scene having built a time attack Focus and owns an RS500, but perhaps he's no good with values, I'll find out.

To get top money for it it would need to be original, if anything the modifications probably devalue the car. Along with the fact that the mileage of both the car and the engine is unknown and that there is no mention of previous welding. The car also needs service history and proper documentation to back up the work that has been done.

What cars are advertised for and what they are worth are entirely different things. Look at the completed listings on ebay and you will get an idea of what they are actually selling for. Without meaning to offend I reckon its probably worth £1500 maybe 2k on a good day to the right person however I'm no expert.

There should be a link to the build thread on PassionFord from the advert, but having just checked it appears to be missing. This details most of the work that has been done and I have print out f it on 50 sides of A4. This is along with a folder of receipts for the car and many mot certificates...thinking about it I might be able to work out a rough mileage of the car so thanks for making me think about that.

It seems such a hard car to value but I think 2k seems a little low, but as I said earlier I may reconsider the price

Don't let people talk you down from your value jut because they wouldn't pay that for it.
Think about how much you'd want in the bank instead of having that car on the drive,
If it's worth 3 grand + to you then it will be worth that to someone else aswell.
Don't give it away, but if yo have no interest at all for 4 - 6 weeks then you have over-valued it.
