i presume those were your testies in the bags marked 'heavy'.... to turn off traction on a car like that....... nice one!

would be good to hear a bit more on the techie stuff like the active aero, but that is the inner geek in me.

good vid - keep 'em coming!

Just watched that with a pair of ear buds plugged into the laptop.

I'm not aware of anything else that sounds quite like that. Not the Zonda primal scream by a long shot, but still... cloud9

That is the most grotesquely ostentatious, stupidly pointless and fantastic car I have seen in years, I love the madness and it totally renews my faith in the imagination of car manufacturers, that something like this can actually happen. Joyous

What a car! The engine, interior detailing, active aero etc etc.

I actually love the soundtrack. Sounds almost industrial. Purposeful, for want of a better word and somewhat turbine-esque.

However, 7 years down the line the Veyron is still mentioned as the benchmark. Veyron this, Veyron that and so on.

Will the Huayra top that or is it even comparable given the huge price tag?

Bugger of a name to know the correct pronunciation of though!

The turbo whaling is back! And nice to see Chris sweating whilst going sideways. I think I'd be s#*+ing myself. Respect!

Styling wise I think it's way better than the Zondas very special, interior is a little bit too much and reminds me of the spyker cars on the kitsch side but very impressive attention to detail. I would buy one... Would a mortgage cover it?

Lovely video!

I love it.

Aside from the wheels, it's like they are in italic: annoying.

Agreed. In my humble a car's character is heavily influenced by the sounds that it makes, and I love the direction that Pagani has taken here.

OK, I may get laughed and pointed at for saying this, but I detect Darth Vader-ish tones in amongst it all, and you'd certainly need the force to be with you driving it Monkey fashion.

Those are the sweetest sounding turbos on a hypercar yet, far more interesting than a screaming bh.

Awesome car and one of your best vids, gotta love Italian rental cars. Still think the Huayra has a bit of a silly looks on his face though.

Sounds like one of those racing hgv trucks.

Not sure if that is a good thing or not. Hmmm

Styling wise, very nice, much cleaner than Zonda, although the interior is very....spykerish

Amazing car, great vid but Mr. H, please don't use that sickening simon cowell/Cheryl cole phrase "... you know what", it's so awful, cringe-making and a disservice to your good self.

are ridiculous tacky cars made for the worst, most inhuman and basically nasty people with zero morals in the world. Like Arab oil barons. I met a few of them in the middle east when I worked there briefly and they are truly horrible people. Spoilt 18 yr old brats who wouldn’t let a friend take a photo of a Lambo he was sitting in. He said if you want a photo of it, buy your own! This from a brat who looked 18yrs old going by his stupid tash- this sums them and their mentality up.

Pagani customers are people like this.
What's your age? Be honest.

Where did you work in the Middle East and what was your job? Do you have pictures from your trip?

Your trolling stinks all the way to Norway and we're suppose to have our backyards full of trolls!

Only two complaints:

Monkeys rubbish t-shirts and the interminable suck/release of the turbo and wastegate.

Otherwise lovely smile

Is it just me???? I don't really like Harris (apologies to the man himself, but hey, everyone is never gonna like everyone), I find these vids a balance of over-production and a rather smug man. Is it just me?

Think I'll have to go against the grain and say meh. Before you all think I've lost my senses here is why?

1) The only really good angle is the rear, the side profile is OK'ish but the front is truly horrid. Maybe the pictures\video don't do it justice but it certainly doesn't set my world on fire in the looks department.

2) The interior, some of the details are lovely but others are horrid. Far too overdone I'm afraid, it looks like Peter Stringfellows kitchen.

3) Wow a key ring in the shape of a car! How cool....not. Again tacky in the extreme

4) Noise, yes the tuned turbo noise is fairly interesting but doens't sound anywhere near as good as other classic turbocharged cars such as the F40 and is even further away from the screaming V12 in the Zonda.

I love and appreciate the engineering and some of the fanatical attention to detail but as an overall proposition it just doesn't excite me, I'd prefer a Zonda R. Also while the video, shots and editing is top notch I feel I have to mention this

For someone who often claims to be a champion of back to basics driving, most of Chris Harris's principles seem to have gone right out of the window for this car. Perhaps the heady mix of being given the the keys to the newest most expensive car on sale right now has got him all flustered but dare I say it, he seems positively star struck. No real mention of how the switch to turbo's and the auto gearbox has effected the cars tactility, throttle responce etc. I can't blame him for being excited to drive it but I'd expect a little more objectivity from a journalist of Chris's experience and calibre.

Silly question, but with the key you have to take the top off it (like a USB stick) in able to insert it. What happens to the top that you have removed?
I was wondering about that as well. The cameraman was there filming anyway so why not show what he did with the other bit? I'm hoping that the car's got a special fitting for it somewhere.

Maybe there'll be a sequel and we'll find out then.

At certain points you can just see the car tense up on its treadblocks and then almost skate over that tarmac.

From the video, I got a real sense of just how much work those tyres are doing and how damn quick that thing is. Much more fun to watch being hustled then the Veyron Vitesse.

Seems Horacio has designed something with all the scary supercar stuff that Lamborghini have forgotten about but without all the flimsy, unreliable 'soul' characteristics most Italian manufacturers expected you to forgive them for.

Great video and the car itself is certainly a grower on me - it did not do much when first details were released but now...

The part with the damage to the Panda was pure comedy also smile
