Had a cross country jaunt tonight frommHull to Scarborough. It's a trip I do regularly and expect to make a few overtakes usually due to the 45mph brigade.
I was making progress at about 60 mph and found I was gaining fairly quickly on an Audi estate, so popped passed him. No problem. A few minutes later (by this time he'd gone out of sight in my rear view mirror) becomes storming back up behind me and passed me. Again no problems.
Until I come across him a couple of miles later again dawdling. Was at the top of a nice down hill section with about a mile visible below..nothing coming... overtook him again (didn't have to increase me speed even, just out and around him).
He kept up this time, and when I got to Staxton I pulled in to make a phone call (there's a car park thing there). He pulled in behind me and came storming up to my car having a rant about "how are you overtake me".
The car had a PH sticker on the back. Was badges as an RS4 (dunno if it was, but it was a pretty beefy sounding petrol).
All a bit odd really. Definitely the red faced company director type though.

Sounds like it was just an idiot with a severe inferiority complex.

Should have got the reg plate and shamed him, Personally I'd have told him to f k off, and in all honesty i don't often do that As long as an overtake is done safely, its fine in my books.

Overtakng is a dying art on our roads today; it makes me sick to see a dawdler doing 35/40mph on a nsl road with a 10 car procession behind them. Women are the worst for dawdling/not overtaking ime.

Thats some generalization lol, Basically women all dawdle and cause havoc on NSL's...
I can't wait for some women to pop along and kick you in the balls shortly!

Might as well forget it. Welcome to the era of the 40mph countryside limit and the 'injudicious overtaking' law.

I don't mind dawdlers on NSL roads. I get a little buzz from overtaking, the acceleration, the 'danger' (???) and the clear road in front after the overtake....
I dread getting stuck behind the driver who drives full pelt along the straights and then 30mph in the twisties. Immensely frustrating!
