looking for some new rubber, for years I used Goodyear Eagle F1's and found them to be good in the dry and fking amazing in the wet.
Appartly some people say you cant get them no more and others say they still do them.
But after going through two sets of michelin sp3's on the motorbike Im tempted to get them for the car.
Any other tyres out there that are as good?
Also, I only know of my-tyre and black-circles is there any other online cheap tyre retailers? Anyone know any discount codes for these hate the fact I never getto enter one anytime I buy online
Car is Fiesta ST
Its used as a shopping trolley most days with the odd thrashing.

Camskill are also pretty good but you'd still shop between the 3 as some do better deals on different tyres.
Without sounding harsh, if you use the Fiesta for normal driving and the odd 'thrash' when you wouldn't ever see the different between a mid range tyre and a top end performance tyre, why would you want to spunk a load of money when you don't need to?
On my M3 I have Toyo Proxes T1R and that is great in the dry (not really driven it in the wet but then again I wouldn't want to drive that fast in the wet anyway), on my 968CS I have P Zeros but that's only because they were new when I bought it - they're ok but not worth anything over the Toyos. On my wife's Boxster I have just replaced the Michellins that were very good with Toyos and it's awesome in wet and dry conditions.
Get some Toyo proxes and save yourself a fortune

Similar to your predicament Goodyear stopped making the Eagle F1 GSD3s in my size, I chose Uniroyal Rainsport 2s as an alternative and I'm happy with my choice. Don't get me wrong there are better (more "sporty") dry weather tyres, but in the wet they are every bit as good as the GSD3s, in fact I think I might prefer them in that scenario (I'm in West coast Scotland btw).Appartly some people say you cant get them no more and others say they still do them.

Best all round road tyre, Michelin Pilot Super Sports.
I've never used such an impressive road tyre as these. Very expensive, but they make good high performance tyres look quite average.
what are these super sport tyres?
just sp3 tyres

I can recommend Event Tyres.
Ive used them a few times.
Usually cheaper than most, or at least cheap as the usual online sellers, but with added great service and mobile fitting by real pro's who know their trade. I haven't bettered them yet.

After a total disaster of an order with My Tyres (delays, fitting centres that couldn't fit 19" tyres and then the diabolical Indian call centre for "support") I swore never to use them again (and would suggest you don't either!)
Event were cheaper, professional and did the job at my house with no issue in under 24 hours from ordering!

in response to falkster, I see your point but I really need a wet weather tyre as I'm only really in the car when it rains heavy due to having a bike.
How about Uniroyal Rainsport 2 I have them and they are great and they are highly recommended.Just a tip - Do you have a car specific forum/area that you could ask on? Some cars suit some tyres better than others.
For example, on my TVR I love my Toyo T1-Rs, but I have heard they might not be so good on slightly heavier cars.
It's good to hear from people who have tried these different tyres on your specific car model IMO.

uni royal are only ten quid cheaper than the sp3's to be fair.
looking at the falkens I can save myself £40 a corner with them but just not sure they'd be up to much.
the biker in me is coming out saying go for cheap you have four of them.
my fear is they just won't grip worth a st. I can be really hard on the car especially when it's raining.
I had a good year efficient on the front left for a while and it was fking brutal in the wet.

bds just found a puncture on one of my tyres with decent tread. hopefully it can be saved.
I know they balance tyres when fitted but do they align them? guess the answer is no as I could do with that getting done.
Most tyre places will do your tracking for a fee which I'm pretty sure just adjusts toe in/out on the front wheels. In my experience most places are pretty poor at it.I know they balance tyres when fitted but do they align them? guess the answer is no as I could do with that getting done.
You say you could do with it, are you getting uneven tyre wear? Personally I'd recommend getting a proper 4 wheel laser alignment done somewhere with a proper Hunter machince. They adjust toe, castor and camber of all 4 wheels as much as your particular car allows for. Sorted my uneven tyre wear and tramlining issues with mine and overall completely transformed the way the car drove.
