I appreciate that the normal stuff was just as boring/worse than it is now but without a doubt, my favourite era for driver's cars was between about 1985 and 1995. Yes, there was some great exotic stuff but to be honest there have probably been better supercars made since. These are some of my favourites.

S1 Escort RST
Capri 280 Brooklands
Sierra RS Cosworth
Lancia Delta Integrale Evo
Peugeot 205 1.9 GTi
Saab 900 Turbo
VW Golf GTi 16v
