Not sure, I like them, and they look good, but if you pay any attention the build quality was pretty poor (My Gran had one when they came out)

not sure what the rover version is like... but the MG ZT was horribly shoddy in terms of construction.

The interior especially... everything feels like it will break off in your hand.

Looks like £20k-ish worth of family hatch / saloon... because it was.

They were actually bloody expensive when new.

Mate has inherited his dads 54 plate, 28k mile 2.5v6 engined ZT saloon.

Looks and feels properly nice, there were a few that got made properly. Just few & far between.

Started a smidgen under £15k so = expensive looking and family hatch/saloon = normal scratchchin

That would be about the same as any other car in that class at the time, then?

And it doesn't really look any more expensive than anything else in the class.

Some people really aren't getting this thread - it's about resonably priced, but expensice looking cars ffs.

I was riding home the other night and saw a very nice looking car - as I got nearer I noticed it was a Suzuki!
The Suzuki Kiza...kiazaki...kiztwa...kiazaki, erm [Googles] Kizashi

That is a very good suggestion and one I'd completely forgotten about.
Much as I dislike them I have to agree. Remove the Pug badges and they do look like they could be an expensive car.

The words expensive and Skoda wouldn't enter my mind in the same sentence. I doubt they would for anyone else either.

Take the badges off and it looks like the Passat's ugly sister... can't think why wink

It's certainly not in the same league as the Passat CC, which, if you order both in the same spec., aren't that far apart on price.

Yes. Think that's part of it being perceived as a "normal" car.

Personal perspectives.

The last model Supra looked amazing in its day. OK, it's not an 'ordinary' car to begin with but if you hadn't known you'd never have guessed it was a mere Toyota.

Agreed with that, looks great considering it's Suzukis first proper attempt at a saloon but costs £ 21,995 :/
