Bearing in mind these are not only "tuner" BHP numbers, but "American" ones also, i suspect it probably really makes about 500 odd ponies at the flywheel. Still plenty to be going on with mind. Also, as mentioned, no way is it sub 500kg, with both a big iron blocked engine and a turbo + Supercharger + intercoolers etc

Wel wel wel, my Atom 2 only has 160hp but OMG it is quick. In fact faster than most cars on the road with power you can use on the road. Cant wait to upgrade to an Atom3/300

Must be an absolute animal to try and drive. With that much power, and sticking with some of the GTR references, actually adding weight may help the driveability of it, pin it to the road a bit more? I can only see this being chased around by a cloud of shredded tyre...

Without any shadow of a doubt this would be death on wheels for me - it's far too scary.

So earlier in the week, the R8 facelift was too boring, too slow and too heavy. Now, this is too dangerous, too powerful and too light! Really can't win on here!! Would love to know if it's actually drivable though, and fair play to the guys for doing it if the numbers are accurate. The world needs more bats t mental engineering!

I've seen Tiff Needell using all his considerable skill to keep the "mere" Atom V8 from spearing off into the bushes.
This car will, I predict, kill most of the people who buy it. You can have bonkers cars with too much power but I think this thing actually exceeds what should be allowed on the road.

I await Chris Harris to take this for a spin and post a video, on a normal back road after it has rained. It would make an interesting watch. Great car!

What a totally pointless exercise - it will be blisteringly fast in a straight line no doubt, but like the standard Atom rather compromised in the corners - my opinion and yes have driven a SC Honda'd Atom

I agree.
Its a bit like literally having a 4ft penis. All your mates will be impressed, but impossible to use.
