What little feature annoys you most about your car? Past or present. Something that is not a major issue but sometimes really gets on your wick.

For example, the driver's seatbelt on my Maserati 4200 regularly catches on the seat-back release lever as there's too little space between it and the door. It drives me nuts.

What happens? Does the rain run into the boot? Or, on top of you?

Rear access on the monaro is terrible, the front seats don't slide forward enough. Also, rain runs straight off the roof through the open windows.

You can't open the boot on escorts if the engine's running.

Pull up, drop someone off, grab their stuff out the boot. fk.

I should get round to sorting that actually except I have an inquisitive nephew who would no doubt hit the button as we are going along.

Also, the I always seem to knock the fog light switch which is right at knee level.

Now I can't remember which car it was - Audi or VW something bland - but I had a pool car that you HAD to lift the armrest up to use the handbrake. Piss poor, thoughtless design.

The passenger seat on my Masser has a mind of its own. Sometimes it rolls forward and back as it should. At others it goes forward, but doesn't return. On occasion, it forgets that it's an electrically operated seat altogether and just stays put.

I don't have the car now, but both air vents on the new Fiesta are behind the driver's hands and are therefore pretty much useless, unless you need your hands cooling down.

My 3200 passenger seat used to do the same, the passenger window on occasion used to go all the way down instead of just half an inch or so that their supposed to when you open the door.

The arm rest thing is annoying me too, only had a Bora for a week!

I like that in a car. I have terrible circulation, my hands are always freezing, having heaters that'll keep them warm when I'm driving is nice.

Hated my A4's armrest, as has been mentioned. You had to raise it if you wanted to pull the handbrake on enough to actually hold the car.

My Focus has auto wipers. The sensitivity control is a 5 position up/down switch on the stalk. To turn the sensitivity up, you turn the switch down...

Also, every time I open the boot, even if it's not rained for a while, it releases a few drops of water from behind the reg plate either on my head or onto the contents of the boot.

Windscreen wipers are almost universally crap in my experience, rear wipers even more so. Always either a dribble or a smear (stop it).

Leon mk1 cupholder - when you put something in it, you can't see the stereo display.

Alfa 156 - no cupholders. I know, it's the way it should be, but it's nice not to have to jam a bottle of water between the seat and the door pillar on a long journey. Especially as I always forgot and ended up having to fetch them from under the car all the time.
