I reckon that is a bit on the pricey side assuming it is sold as seen.

You can get all working facelift examples with a lot less mileage if you hunt around.

Bio-degradable wiring loom insulation a problem on these early pre-facelift W140s. Beware.

IIRC these export well and it'll still be worth 1000 Euros when the MOT expires.

Cant argue with the quality, but I've never really liked the look of these. They look too big for their chassis. Like an over-loaded wheelbarrow.

I bought a 52 plate Honda accord type S (2.4) from HMC. As dealers go he was alright, but the car was faultless.

Never liked this generation of S Class. They were IMO ugly and oversized when new, Now if it was a 1980s 5 litre S Class....................

We had a W140 S600 which we sold on a couple of years ago:

Absolutely incredible cars and can be picked up for not a lot of money these days. But, when they go wrong, expect your wallet to be well and truly sodomised. Also, I still think that the road presence these had is yet to be bettered.

Contemporary Lexus LS - Yes, Seven series - yes, but these to me are a real low point in Merc styling. Massive, slab-sided, poorly proportioned (actually sounds more like a description of my ageing midriff)

As much as this W140 S500 is tempting. This W126 500SEL is more up my street & for the same cash too. http://www.hillingdonmotors.co.uk.razsor.autotrade...

Or this Puma & £500 change? http://www.hillingdonmotors.co.uk.razsor.autotrade...
