If this was in england with a guy doing it you would all be reacting in a completely different manor. Go on youtube and search streeto and you will find a hell of a lot better videos regarding car control.
Exactly this.

If this had been a 400 hp BMW would you have called him a "douche bag", which is a s*** insult anyway, or would you have exhibited html hyper-excitability? If you think this kind of driving is easily conjured up with vodka I hope you live a long way from the rest of us... ON YOUR OWN

Top marks for making a dull dull car into something far more entertaining.
Proof that even the underdogs have there day. Ok, drop the hub caps and you can't see the matt-steel rear wheels slow, fine. This in no way subtracts from this driver's extreme control over his yaw rate. Superb precision driving. I have never owned a FWD car, but the only thing putting me off now is that I cannot drive as well as this legend

Yes, you can see he changes his tyres for less grippy ones to make it slide; but come on, if you could, you would!! Awesome vid The wheels may even be space savers ! If not, they are definitely steel wheels with much narrower and less grippy tyres than the front which is cheating a bit. Still, the lads got talent though

How is this different from any "Hagwallah" videos this site often talks down upon? Just because it's not an Arab doing stupid things on public roads makes it OK? Double standards don't you think PH!

vz-r_dave said: Exactly, i wouldnt listen to those stating that its not impressive. To the majority of us on PH this is well beyond our skill level or what we are willing to risk/do. Spot on, very true! Of course my grammer and speling are perfect and I could easily do that drifting.

f k me there are some proper heros on PH aren't there? He's got steelies on the rear because chopping up a set of 225/55/16 is expensive, as is spanking your alloys against the kerb if you get it wrong. They're not space savers, which is obvious if you're not Mr Magoo. I would love to see the personal efforts from all the armchair heros saying its not that impressive. It is. Especially in a fwd. yes, he hand brakes it to get it started, so what? So do pro drifters. Yes he's not going that fast, so what? That's not the idea of drifting, He's working in wet roads and with parked cars either side. No doubt the dissenters here would have gone through at 120. It's low grip - but so what? How else would you suggest he slide that platform and power, predictably? When you sling the arse end of a fwd drive out, you become a passenger, unless you're going slowly enough that whatever power you have at the front wheels can drag you out of trouble. That's why he's going slow, he only has 100hp to play with. A RWD can have its slide induced by simply overcoming the rear grip with power and then modulating the angle using the wheel and or the power, it's much easier (for me). I think we've proved the appetite for this sort of thing on PH so if you have video evidence of you doing something more impressive, by all means pst it up for comment.

I went on a rally driving course a while back. The instructor loaded six of us into a Toyota Serena FWD people carrier and proceeded to take us around the course, mostly sideways, whilst calmly explaining lift-off oversteer. We didn't learn a lot - we were too busy looking for something to hang onto and if the seat in front had the letters SRS

Exactly this. Plus one Not impressed. I had a 2.5 Mondeo Estate for a short while. Came with Pirelli P4's on the front and a wornish set of 'Slide & Glides on the back. Any wet surface (and a couple of bags of sand at the tailgate) and you could hang the tail out no bother - didn't even need the handbrake. Used to take it to autumn/spring track days just for the laugh.

Everyone is hailing this guy as a driving god, yet when Ken Block does something a lot more impressive, he gets slated.
