Thats what I though a first LouD86 it seems a good deal ( DtD as bench) , but is their a catch ect ect.

But when another dealer mailed me back with the same offer, without knowledge of the other dealer's offer , ( I just mailed two different dealer groups via toyota uk's website asking if there are any specials on Fire's)

I thought, hang on a min, is there some larger offers in play here ?

So 10% is being offered by the usual 7.5% + % holdback to hit the unit figs.

Thats with out including any other manufacturer to dealer support or spiff's.
There is NO other support on Aygo, they are actually selling pretty well at the moment. The 0% is the deal this quarter (which the C1 and 107 don't have to offer)

...and Im not sure where you're getting this 'usual 7.5% plus holdback' from, 3.0% is the normal front end.

Seriously go with the deal offered!

Thanks Save Ferris

The 7.5% fig is from some of other toyota aygo threads on here ( 5% on base models the upto 7.5% on top specs)

3% on a top model with options seems low to work around.

So If I contacted your dealer ship it would be 11900 - reg fee - vat = 9476 (3 % of 9476 = 284) or 3% of msrp ( 357)

284 or 357 to work with of list?

Feel free laugh and or add or correct the figs ! smile

I'd rather be on the dole than drive an aygo to work every day. Get yourself a used car with some personality and power!

No catch with the 0%, nice and easy!! Take the deal before they withdraw, I doubt my SM would let me offer that!

Are you sure?

Noticed Toyota uk are offering dealer support with a monkey off certain Aygo models
I take it its upto the dealers if they taking it up?

""Saving available (not included in price above) up to £540.00 at participating Toyota Centres..........""

The £540 is only on the base model Aygo, so not applicable to the Fire and Ice models. The base doesn't have the 0% offer though.

I'm guessing £460 option is for the Tech Pack 1 ? Just be aware, this would make it a factory order, showing mid to late October delivery.

In my experience the strongest deals are available on cars from 'stock'. If you start going for a factory order the dealer is less likely to play ball.

40 miles a day in a Tupperware box powered by a Kenwood Chef.

My first car was a 106, and it was £5495. I'd still have one of those over a 107. At least the 106 didn't feel like it was going to blow away every time you passed a truck on the motorway, and the wheels didn't feel like they'd rip off the first pothole you hit.

Public transport (which I detest) is more appealing than an overpriced hairdrier on wheels. 40 miles a day isnt high mileage, perfect hot hatch territory and nearly 12k will get you a very good one with change for petrol.

Ahh hello Boss!! (well for two weeks). See - we were discussing this in morning meeting, deffo a cracking price. What Kev says about the 0% not available, and the £540 on base is indeed correct.

107/C1/Aygos are great cars when they cost £5-7k - not so much when they cost £10k+...... surely by paying 5 figures for one of these you are missing out on their USP - i.e. dirt bloody cheap new car with warranty?

At the money you are talking id be looking at VWs, Fiestas or even a Mini First (£10.8k OTR iirc).

I still think the Fiat Panda is the best cheap new car out there, the Aygo etc dont inspire me at all.

The other problem, which I didn't have time to mention earlier, is the running costs. The clutch on the C1/Aygo/etc is made out of chocolate and the size of a fist. Brake discs melt in no time, and wheel bearings are made out of the same stuff. There's quite a few of the female employees here that have them, and they all exhibit the same 3 figure bills around the 5 year or 60k mark.

One elderly C1 just had it's second clutch, second set of rear wheel bearings, 6th set of tyres, and 4th set of pads and discs for it's 6 year MOT. It has 80k on the clock. The engine sounds shagged too, and it's been maintained on the interval exactly. That's a lot of parts compared to a Clio or Fiesta.

MMT's don't seem to have an many issues as the manual's ( toyota unit?)
& the 5-Dr isn't a water collecting device like the 3-Dr smile

That 5 year warranty really helps with peace of mind one of the reason toyota got the thumbs up over the c1 or 107 .

There seems to be lots of un-reg'ed fire's about ( dealer stuffing by toyota ? ) so the deals are out their to be had if you hit the "very large" toyota main dealer franchises.

Wouldn't suprise me if DtD prices start to drop as well.

I think the main reason if they have a lot of forecourt stock, is trying to hold them all for September. I wish we could, however limited space means nope! Order from depot only!

Have you ordered yet?

just another a to b car

i'm sure they're a decent car, but wouldn't spend 10k on a car with no USP/soul/style
I see where you are coming from. For me, it should be along the lines of a Dacia. OP- why not look at an older C1/Aygo? Or even just a C1? The 3cylinder engine is very very simple - nothing much at all to go wrong on those cars.

Albeit simply engineered no two of these cars (c1/ aygo and 107) are the same and once they get to around 35k 1 out of 2 is well worn.

If you're getting one I'd rather go new, if it was going to be used I'd look at below 5k. Water pumps and clutches are their main weaknesses from our experience.
