don't go into this thinking you will make money, go into it thinking you have a fantastic opportunity to own a very cool car - and an opportunity that most on here can only dream of. The drive home will also be great! Take you camera and post the pics. Enjoy, don't be so profit-focused!

I like the cut of your jib Sir.

We could go halves and do a road trip?

Awesome cars - my Grandmother used to work for a rich Arab in the Middle East - he used to have a couple of these to knock about in when he was in London and it was sooooooo cool as a kid to have a journey in them.

GBP 1,500 if you can get it over to Dubai for me.

Drive it back! It'd be an awesome experience! smile You'd be able to do it in a couple of days...

You might not want to sell it after you bring it home!

Even if you can't front the £600-800 you'd need for hotels, fuel, a flight out and so forth, just get a short term loan to cover those (or stick them on a credit card) and then if you're determined to sell the car, should be easy enough to sell on by the time you get back and clear that little debt.

It is such a cool car - If I had one pop up, I'd never let it go.

This was when Mercedes made the best car they could then worked out the price - not the other way round.

If you look on Mobile.de you'll see there are a couple of Polish cars on there anyway
http://suchen.mobile.de/auto/mercedes-benz-450-6-9...

all depends on the condition of yours, as you can see they're priced on there from 4,000 to 80,000

look at some of the dealers there who specialise in Mercs, you could phone and ask if they are interested in checking it out, or get it shipped to Germany

I'd look after it for you wink

Bringing it to the UK is really simple since Poland is part of the EU. Simply drive it back, fill in the forms, then when the V5 turns up buy a set of number plates, take it for an MOT and you're done.

http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/motoring/buyingandsell...

You'll need all of the original paperwork, possibly a heritage certificate from MB too.

http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C189421

If that's anything to go by, something like £15,000 as a value.
thanks...smile

If it comes from the US send it back. I think from memory that because it originalted in the US there is no tax when you take it back in. Also, the American market is strong for European classics.
