Disclaimer: i have never ever ever applied vinyl to anything before, treat me like a retard, and with utmost pedantry in your explanations.

So, today my smiley arrived, i plan on popping it on just now. Is it just a case of peel backing paper off and WHACK! stick the bugger on? Or have i missed something massive?

I'm starting to regret the disclaimer, although in this case leaving the car in gear may also be necessary as my arms are just beastly and may overload the handbrake cable.

You have to lick the back of it to make it sticky, just like old stamps and envelopes.

Inform your insurance company of the performance modification you've just done too.

Have you done a full Risk Assessment and informed the Health and Safety Executive before you even consider applying the handbrake, disconnecting the battery and wiping down the 'work' area?

Take the fuel tank out and drain the car of all of its fluids.

You want to minimise the risk of a fire.

Apply heat to the area to speed the adhesive curing, otherwise it can move slightly when you walk off and leave it, mine is now slightly angled and it bugs the **** out of me and of course now that it is set it's a b***h to get off again!
Try ironing it on if you've got a long enough extension?
