Did you make those headers yourself? I need something very similar and was just going to buy some stock extractors and weld in some pipes to clear the chassis rail.

I saw this topic pop up again...and here's a few snaps from the recent Spring Riot, at the Ace Cafe :

It wasn't easy to get decent photos due to the sheer amount of people there, but it was a great night! Highly recommended.

They are from Speedwaymotors.com in the USA. Cost about $200 but I could have had chrome ones for an extra $100. Doh!

I'm scared to think about the postage to Oz but it's still pretty cheap. I'll have a look. Cheers.

All the years I have lived in the UK and I never once got to the Ace Cafe. That piss yella deuce coupé would be my car of choice, given the chance.

We actually have a few 'hot rods' over here in the Philippines. biggrin

This one has a totally wasted 14/71 blower on a BBC.

Some strange things go on here. wink

And they don't always turn out too well....

How could any UK hot rodder forget John Baldachinos little show stopper. I lusted over that car, read the Custom Car 'build story' until the mags fell apart in my hands. biggrin

The car is still around, in some lockup in Birmingham by all accounts.

The last car I built before we left the UK was nearly finished by the guy I sold it too, but has moved on yet again. This is the fourth owner since it was started some 20 years ago. Some cars are destined never to hit the road......

Damn, I had so many hours of blood sweat and tears in this thing before time ran out and I had to let it go. frown

Wow just spotted Winston Sewell's Rover
http://www.rodsnsods.co.uk/forum/whatever-happened...

I used to see that when I went to the DHSS (Dutch House Street and Strip) with my Mk1 Cortina
Sorry not a hot rod but I hope you don't mind me taking a stroll down memory lane.

Oh and my red 4 door

I'd love a Mk. 1 now. A beautiful design.

I remember watching Steve Green race his at Santa Pod in the Real Steel Rover V8 challenge. His 10-second 1/4 was a benchmark at the time. Seems almost 'everyday' now.
