I want a hot rod but I would like a caterham at the same time.
Has anyone put hot rod body '32 ford on caterham or similar chassis? with caterham running gears/drivetrain ?
I'm sure there has been something recently in Practical Performance Car magazine with something just like this. I'll have a look back in my 'files'Has anyone put hot rod body '32 ford on caterham or similar chassis? with caterham running gears/drivetrain ?

A track T bucket would look better although the double wishbone is a little weird. Factory Five have full guards that cover it up nicely I feel.Has anyone put hot rod body '32 ford on caterham or similar chassis? with caterham running gears/drivetrain ?

I'm aware it looks overblown and ridiculous - that's precisely why I like it lol
This ^^. They aren't meant to be sensible, or practical.
I took mine to a show a month or so ago. Police were very interested..... (That's me looking suitably terrified. The gun is very real)
A buddy and I got all drunk at the show, then decided to drive the totally illegal cars round town for a while, midnight, Saturday. How irresponsible, how childish.

This, in this colour, is absolutely my grail rod if I ever get round to building and/or owning one. Possibly lower though - would need to be channelled for that I guess? (Like the silver 5-window above?)
I think you can go a bit lower than that without channelling the body, however imho if you end up with the swage line in the body lower than the top of the rear tyre it doesn't look right, e.g.This looks fine:
this, imho looks funny

Talking of resurrections, did anyone else notice Street Machine magazine is back. Used to buy it every month as a kid in the 80s.
That's cool. I used to get second-hand copies of Street Machine, Custom Car and Hod Rod and Custom magazines from an older guy who lived up the road from me. Loved all the 80s custom stuff. Free download of issue 1 is here -
