This is a beautiful thread, and seeing all the love and support on this thread has restored some of my once very broken faith in humanity.
Great contributions everyone.. really does make you think that life is so precious.

I make no apologies for reposting this. The most poignant picture I've seen in a very, very long time.

Not sure if such a service already exists but....

Could we set up a 'request a ride in a supercar' type service whereby people involved in caring for unwell children could post their requests for a 'child supercar ride' etc on this forum stating what/where etc and PH members could then offer their services.

It really wouldn't take much to set up and I know that many people here would take much pleasure from giving a terminally ill child a passenger ride in the car of their dreams. Many of us here are lucky enough to own cars that are well beyond the reach of most people, lets share that with some deserving kids/parents.

Can we?

Bump,......unashamedly!

A few things already exist for this such as the Make a Wish foundation, and Little Havens charity track day.

I emailed a few organisations offering to help out with any car based requests, but not one of them got back to me.

RIP Connor.

Just seen this thread for the first time. Really tugged at the heart strings, even more so being a father myself and trying to imagine what it would be like.

Its great to see that people rallied together for the little guy to make his wish come true. Restores some of my faith in humanity, and shows that people do care behind their -hate everything- internet persona's.

bks, i've read to the end of this thread hoping for good news!
Being a dad of a 2 year old son who i've just spent the weekend away with it hits home how precious every second is.
The second photo of Connor hugging his dad brought a tear to my eye.

R.I.P. Little guy, peace be with you.

& my thoughts go out to the family at this difficult time, i can't even begin to imagine what you're going through.

Really sad news Connor has died. All my thoughts are with his family. But it's fantastic news that so many people made the effort to give him such a wonderful day, the photos look like it was an amazing day and I'm sure he was so thrilled.

Well done everyone, congratulations for giving him such a special day.

I helped out, but I avoided meeting Connor; principally because it was all very upsetting.

I dont think any of us marshalls got chance to meet him as it was a very busy day - tiring but worth it
