Well I guess that statement gives the doomsayer bashers a chance to re-insert their fingers in their ears and carry on singling the la la song.

Maybe they got it wrong this time, but I for one will confess that without having seen and heard the fuss being made over this proposal for a regulation, I would like as not heard a thing about it. So if major changes were on the way to make the lives of modified car owners difficult, who would honestly be able to say they saw it coming if there had not been someone to start waving the flags?

And frankly I don't mind standing up to be counted on this. I am still of the opinion that modified vehicles, even your modest classic, is always under potential threat...It might not be one particular item of legislation, perhaps a little bit here, and a little bit their designed to slowly erode or discourage the use of modifieds and classics on the roads. It's not a question of if they to decide to legislate, but when.

I fear the doomsayers will one day be justified in saying. "We told you so."

Sadly, by then it will be too late.
