Ive got a couple of these, a non cat non adjust and a cat non adjust. The first is really nice and clean and I keep it that way for the occasional Sunday afternoon trundle to the pub. The second gets used 'properly'. It's what someone earlier in the thread describes as a 'hoon' only car. I've swapped the cats for straight thru pipes and it is very loud, which to my ears means it sounds mega. But at a steady speed on a constant throttle it's not too bad at all. I'll take it out at least once a month for a play. I'll do a qualifying lap of my locality, which takes about 25 minutes, then hide it back in my garage and pretend it wasn't me. I'll be tingling for over an hour and nervous of every knock at the door for a week. I don't even have plates on it, neither front nor back. I've done a few track days on it, silverstone and Nurburg. Someone made a comment about it being neither fish nor fowl, he's quite right. It's actually quite soft and supple but there isn't enough travel for the road, so it crashes onto the stops often, yet on the circuit there is too much roll. However, on a wet track, it's about right. My favourite drives in it have been on the old Nurburg in the pouring rain. I have other toy cars but nothing compares to an F40. I got mine in 2005 and can't imagine parting with my play one. Other cars come and go.
