That POTW has been one of my favourite car photos for quite a long time. It's absolutely stunning. It helps that it features my favourite model Countach in the best colour and with the spoiler. Yum. cool

Perfect picture of a top 10 dream car. Notwithstanding the fact that years after kids my age who ogled posters of that car learned that it was actually a collection of parts of varying quality, driving in fairly loose formation, it is still the one that tugs at my heartstrings. Or lower. Every time I see a one, preferably a white one for my tastes, I can't take my eyes off of it. Impossibly low, unmistakably evil (in black, it is Darth Vader's car for sure), and unmistakably loud, it's still every boy's dream.
Thanks for the pic.

As others have said, automotive porn.

I remember seeing some silly news item about 5 years ago where young kids were shown a whole load of different supercars of all ages, and asked which one they thought looked the most futuristic. Almost all of them chose the Countach; the design was about 35 years old at the time....

Exactly! One of the few truly "timeless designs"... (worth a new thread??)

One day, I will have one. Might have to sell both kidneys, eyes and heart first, tho..

The anti-christ to the Panamera diesel! An antidote to that vile carbuncle.

Thank god for Lamborghini.

Erm, wouldn't they both be a bit old and saggy by now? Each to their own I guess.

The Lambo however, now that is never going to be referred to as that is it!

Accidentally Ph rated as 5...oops, X2 of course!

For me, the quintessential Countach should be white, but red is a close 2nd.

Fab picture!
