I've come to the conclusion that all vans look better in race livery, simply because it makes them look like race-support vehicles.
I can picture that Transit carrying tools and spare parts for a Group C car.
I'm not sure about the 'why' but vans definitely seem to be able to better fit race livery than similar humdrum cars. I've seen a lovely cunningham striped Transit around a few times, shouldn't work but it does.I can picture that Transit carrying tools and spare parts for a Group C car.

Looks good on fully stickered up, real race cars. On ANYTHING else it looks utter gash and is so overdone I'd rather the Burberry check!
Road cars, motorbikes, push bikes, watches, clothes, furniture, bedroom walls, all of it...utterly naff.

(I'll exclude myself from the Burbery check comment though!)

If that is your photo, I must have stood about 10 feet from you when it was taken- the same year that they had several others in JPS and silk cut livery? 2010 or 2009- beer blunts the memory

But if a car is all liveried up, it needs a stripped-out interior with a roll-cage to carry the vibe off successfully. Anything less and it becomes a tribute, which loses the sense of purpose that makes it cool.
Like the JPS Lotus liveried 2002 Fiesta I saw earlier today
