RE: Peugeot facelifts RCZ...

To be fair, for what it is, It' looks pretty good. Makes a nice change from yet another VW Sirocco looky-likey or MINI Contryman, Slighlydifferentcountryman, slighlyuglierslightlydifferentcountryman.
260bhp 1.6? I remember people being impressed with 200bhp from the 2.0 'Cossie'. Will probably be good for 100k miles too.

Its not a bad looking car to be fair much nicer than the old RCZ but what is going on with the Steering wheel it looks like something lifted out of the parts bin when they stopped making the 306 of the late 1990's....
The only other thing that lets it down in the plastic feel when you sit in one, you really know its not the best coupe out there just toooo much plastic and not enough 'german' quality to the interior feel me thinks apart from that a decent looking car.....still a hairdressers car though!

Not according to any review I've read. Certainly more lively than anything Peugeot has done in its recent past.
I think I'm probably quite closed minded but front-drive sports coupé always sounds wrong to me. I'm sure it's great for cruising and pushing on but I'm sad about the fact that within the span of my projected lifetime at some point all new cars will be front-drive or 4WD powertrains and some regulation will be passed that says RWD is nolonger safe for PLG-classed vehicles or some such nonsense.F1GTRUeno said:
Taking just the shape and general look of the lights and grille, it kinda reminds me of a DBS.
Horribly ugly though it always was.
EDIT - NVM, was just the thumbnail that reminded me, looks nothing like it at all.

Your edit made me chuckle.
This is actually produced by Audi, to give TT owners even more Smugness.
I quite like it, and if the RCZ is the "Aldi TT" where does that put Audi in the pecking order supermarket wise, they are not quite Waitrose are they, so that must mean it is the Sainsbury's or Tesco TT.

Does nothing to fix the biggest stylistic issue that it has: the enormous overhangs. Probably explains why no pics in profile...
That's true but it does mean it has a huge boot, which is probably more important to most buyers.I like it. By far the best car Peugeot have made since the 306.

Conventional wisdom will tell you that double-wishbones and coil springs are the only choice for a faithful-handling road car given their use on racers, but Lotus has rarely if ever used that setup (they prefer a combination of Macpherson and Chapman struts for lightness as upper wishbones are heavy and if you can set the locator arms up properly they're just as effective), and Porsche persisted with lever-arm dampers right up to 1989 (they're the sort of things you expect to find on cuddly little 1950s British saloons). It's all in the setup.

surprised more people haven't yapped about the engine..
Are peugeot finally getting the right idea? All of their vehicles have been vastly under powered for petrolheads in recent years
260bhp 1.6 hot hatch anyone?
I know! All people bang on about with BMWs is how specific power output somehow makes them the best cars in the universe ever, but this Peugeot (which IIRC was joint-developed with BMW anyway) beats it!Are peugeot finally getting the right idea? I'd say the the TT is more like the Morrison's.I quite like it, and if the RCZ is the "Aldi TT" where does that put Audi in the pecking order supermarket wise, they are not quite Waitrose are they, so that must mean it is the Sainsbury's or Tesco TT.
