why? for not following the most pathetic, idiotic, moronic, utterly crap, mindless sheep following the heard, fashion crazy ever to hit the automotive world?

there's a million ways to modify you car without making yourself look a total , go over to the readers drives section, there's a huge eclectic mix of modified cars in their from cosworth powered mini's to a fiesta being rebuilt to a stunning standard of work to red victor 3!
So you want this extreme chamber banned?
I presume such extreme camber would not pass a UK MOT?

For once Dave, you are quite right.

That Celica is just ridiculous. From the stretched tyres to the sloppy arch extensions. Just...no. Japanese trafpol must be very rare or very lax. You'd not get far looking like that in the UK. There would be an authorised vehicle examiner on your case before you knew it. And quite rightly so. I thought stancing was bad, but this...

i think compulsory sterilisation on anyone who stances a car will suffice, its a clear indication of defective DNA that needs to be removed from the gene pool

I am all for modifying cars. Hell, the S8 wheels and trim on my A8 could count as a 'modification' in the Goverment's eyes! But this sort of rubbish does more to harm our case than help it.

You have a source for this actual change in law, do you?
Not the tripe about the EU's desire to make it so currently being spouted.

Your fairy godmother just made it illegal with a wave of her magic wand

Just be careful for what you wish for

Extreme camber and stretching too small tyres on to too large a wheel serves nothing but being a liability for the drivers of the stupid cars, and other innocent people using the road network as far as I'm concerned, wkers.

It will fade away in about 2 years, it's just a craze, an expression of the car show herd. I think there far bigger things to worry about on the roads, idiots driving uninsured vehicles, cyclists with no lights on the wrong side of the road(most nights in Newark) and pedestrians on Facebook just stepping out into the road. I've done plenty of dumb mods to cars over the years, but that's how we turn into modders

This is what i hate about modern youthful car modding. "I cant afford a decent car" you damn well could if you hadnt stuck two grands worth of crappy bodykit on your saxo and £1k of alloys. Throw in £500s worth of stereo...

I presume that a car would not be presented for MOT dispaying that level of camber, you know, just like many people fit a cat before MOT.

So in other words, we don't need a change in the law. We just need to enforce the ones we have?

The guy in the celica knew everyone would hate that car. But he didn't care, he had a vision, and he wanted to fulfill it. He doesn't give two flying sts what anyone thinks.

He wanted the wheels to stick miles out the car, but keep the tyres under the arches, hence the massive stretch and camber.

just because someone has an idea or a "vision" does not mean it should be done, plenty of examples in history of this
