Has anybody done this?
Hers the link and advertisement http://marketing.michelin.co.uk/buynow/

I need two new tyres, the PS3's are rated highly I believe and with that offer effectively could mean they'd be £100 a tyre fitted.

Does anyone know if Michelin do this kind of cashback offer on a regular basis? Thanks smile

Second time they've run it this year I think, I wouldn't expect it to be one of those "always running" promotions though.

Oh, I shall be needing a complete set of boots in the New Years, and for a change, in the size I need Michelin are very competitively priced. I shall have to keep an eye on this nearer the time.

I did this a few months ago - think it was £20 for two tyres at the time.

I got Sainsbury's vouchers and they were very efficient at processing it. I even phoned up to check that they had received my form and they answered promptly.

Anyone know how to redeem the voucher?

Do you simply go to any filling station, fill up £50 worth and then use it like a credit card?

Yeah, just follow the instructions to 'register it' then it works anywhere I guess, it's just a prepaid MasterCard.

For some reason the tyres for a swift sport seem like rocking horse manure. Was hoping to take advantage of that offer

They ran this exact same offer last year as I took advantage of it.

The place I bought my PS3s from not only pricematched but also ran the cashback.
I paid £136ea for 2 x 225/45/17 PS3s

Thanks for mentioning tyreleader. I've just saved £104 on four tyres from them compared to my usual place & I get a discount with them, not much of a discount it would seem. smile

Stupid question alert

Recommended tyre for my car is 195/45/R17/81W

Is there any issue using an 85W XL tyre? If not, is having 2 fronts with a different load rating to the rears an issue?

No legal / insurance issue as you're going up in load rating.

Dynamically there might be some difference, and purists will tell you all 4 should match, but in the real world most people run with different tyres front and back, and the stiffness difference between an 85 XL and 81 will likely be less than an old school tyre and a new breed low rolling resistance tyre.

I can't seem to find the offer on the Michelin website - can anyone point me in the right direction?

EDIT: I found details of the offer after choosing my tyre size
