That bit is news though.....
Dunno why they're making a point of saying it now though. Look at something like the turquouse CCX done for Ana al-Thani, the 'Special One'. There's clear evidence of Koenigsegg customisation from a few years ago.

I apologise for the sweeping generalisation, but it seems that the super rich do like their cars to stand out. The Veyron, for instance, has so many special and limited editions that anything in a standard colour combination is probably (and perversely) more unique! That would still be more preferable than the results, when money and bad taste are allowed to overcome common sense. (When, for example, some E European is blinging up his Veyron, I'm sure the Bugatti salesman must be yearning to tell the customer to wise up, but is obviously unable to!)

Looks stunning, but surely every Koenigsegg made is a one off? All speced individually.

Proof that money certainly does not buy you taste.
FFS their money does buy a car to their taste.

The point about taste is that it is subjective, and the point about wealth is that you can buy for your own individual tastes withought having to worry about having it in resale grey.

It probably is really fierce to drive on normal roads, would be fun to se statistics on how the hypercars actually are used by their owners, Ironic that the Koenigsegg test driver races a miata in the swedish miata cup smile(And he is bloody good at it!)

plus about 200% import tax for cars like this to China..
Exactly-tax rates are just headlines. The elite in countries like this do not pay anything like these rates.

Also, the owner will probably get the interior re-trimmed and re-specced when it's flown back for a service.

For all we know it'll probably have several interiors in as many years. Not a big deal at all in the grand scheme of things.

Both of you are wrong on this. It doesn't matter if you are an 'elite' (super rich with political influence just like in most countries), the selling prices of any imported cars or parts have import tax included (just like our VAT). However, the import tax is not 200%, but 100%. Of course, you can always put the car in Hongkong where the tax is free. And most super riches in China do have properties in Hongkong, anyway.

Terrible name. It is also shocking how every item is a miss-matched different shade of blue. Makes an amazing car look like a cheap bodge. Leave the special editions to Lotus.

Strange acronyms aside, what's the performance of the Agera like? Looking at the numbers it must be so savage to be unusable at full chat by all but the most hairy-chested wheeler.

I love the Agera R, and I love Koenigsegg - the guy obviously has a very talented team of engineers with him, and these things do tug my heartstrings, but I've never been impressed by Koenigsegg's interiors, or Paganis for that matter. The Ks in particular look like kit car interiors with super-expensive materials. Paganis on the other hand, are over-styled tosh. If I was one of the ultra rich guys who could afford one of these, I'd want some serious time spent getting the interior done to my taste, which might not even be possible at all!

That blue leather belongs back in the '70s! yuck Other than that, it's okay, but I don't think I'd be thinking about how it looks when attempting to put 1100BHP+ to the ground!
