Think the Sultan of Brunei would want to buy S111 TAN? Reckon I could get a few K for it if I could convince him biggrin
I suspect if he wanted that plate he would already have it! certainly worth asking for a silly price on the offchance.
Any idea on how he/his "people" can be contacted, guess best way is via maybe the Embassay? My dad own's that plate and his name is Sultan, currently assigned to a 740iL, paid a good amount for it but nothing wrong with trying to make some money, he said he'll sell it if the right offer came (he is thinking six figure numbers!)
He (or his brother) has a house on The bishops Ave in Hampstead Gdn Suburb, london. Post details to him there and it'll probably get delivered, I suspect the local postie knows whos who now without need for door numbers...
Do you not think if he had any interest in plates he would have nabbed A1 from his little bro Jazzy Jef or used 1A?

Even SUL 74N is better than that.

There's a black Gallardo where I live with a plate something along the lines of "S33 YA", that I find appropriate

X5 is currently on an original RHD Daytona Spider.
Saw this at the Revival over the weekend...

That car was owned by John Bonham of Led Zeppelin, he brought it not long before he died. Current owner brought the car from Bonham's widow, although not sure if the plate was on the car when Bonham had it.
IIRC it was/is owned by someone connected to Bramleys?
- Was about to say the same, as a child I used to salivate over that Daytona in the Bramley showroom. It had a note hanging from the rear view mirror saying it was 'one of 12 made' - RHD being the rarity.

It is just perfect.

X1, F1, all a bit boring. Plates need to be more fun, or relevant. Saw LAM80 on an old Urraco once, D14BLO used to be on a Diablo then on a Murcielago that lives near me, saw a DBS with A5TON on it in central London, and MAR10 on a Merc outside a restaurant called Mario's in the west end!
Agree anybody know where F69UCK is?, it was real. The story goes it was put on a car bought new in 1988 by a young lady who couldn't understand why all the salesmen were laughing!hehe

I remember seeing on a Black 911 Turbo WAR 10R in or around Hatfield. That was in the day when Gladiators was on TV and I always wondered if it belonged to the guy who played Warrior on the game show.

It will be a foreign plate. There is indeed a Guernsey plate "1" but I'd imagine the one which roams West London comes not from South but from East of the UK.
See above. Dubai plate.
yep, here's a pic of it. Is on UK style plastic plate, hence some confusion - even though it's yellow plated at the front.

The country's first £2 million number plate has gone up for sale, eclipsing the £1 million currently being asked for X1.

HF04 PZC is currently being advertised by an Essex businessman. Interest levels in the plate have soared since Pagani has been rumoured to be calling its next car the Hfoapzc. It is expected that the plate will be snapped up and fitted to the first UK car off the production line. The businessman, who wishes to be know only as 'Nick', was apparently offered half a million for it three weeks ago. With its value quadrupling every three weeks, this must surely represent one of the very best investments.

The registration has a fascinating history, first being issued in the Bournemouth region in 2004 to the original buyer of a Saab 9-3, before 'Nick' bought the car in 2008. Amazingly, the plate has remained on the same car for nearly ten years. Offers of the full asking price will see the car, which has an estimated value of £365,000, thrown in for free.

Totally agree. I once saw a Ferrari with a number plate something along the lines of WH0005H fly past me on the motorway, v funny.
There's an asian chap with an Atom with 'Jihad' plates I've seen a few times. Always makes me smile.

Hot on the heels of the UKs first £2m numberplate is the first plate ever to be offered for £4m -"AB 12". Ex-estate agent turned PlateTransfers salesman Nick was quoted as saying "with current uncertainty in the property market and low interest rates, numberplates offer amazing investment potential. Asking prices have doubled in the last half hour! These 4 digit number plates offer amazing potential given there are only millions of permutations and the DVLA release more at every auction!"

Actually 1 of 7 and yes you're right the car used to sit in Bramley's showroom. I know the owner of the car and as he is a fairly private person so I won't say any more than that without asking him first.
