RE: DMC Lamborghini Aventador LP900-4
Discussion
I also like the styling - agree that Lambo's should look borderline ridiculous, and lets face it the Aventador will eventually end up looking like this as stock as we work through the many iterations over the years.
900BHP from a NA engine is hugely impressive. Are they providing a warranty for the work?

And there I was thinking that it was going to get limited to 66mph and come with it's own personal Doc Hudson.
I see what yout tried to do there. Unfortunately wrong speed and wrong name.
I see my mistake. I doth hang my head in shame and incarcerate myself to the annuls of FailBlog.
In my defence I have a 2 year old who can wake up before I can and operate a DvD player. She also has a penchant for a certain Pixar film.
Wouldn't trust anyone to start putting an aero body kit on a car that must now be in excess of 240mph.
We all saw how car manufactures can get it wrong with their experience and test work(Mark Webber flying Merc) so trusting some bespoke operation to have done all that correctly......?

Blatent BS on 900 hp
How can you know that? Fresh engine straight from Lambo which hasn't even really seen many applications yet, they'll be at the start of tuning it for production. Easy to imagine that a company can come along, spend another £40k on expensive parts and kick it up a notch.Richbaker said:

True, but how much drag will they introduce with their bodywork? Wouldn't surprise me if it was seriously hobbled. We all saw how car manufactures can get it wrong with their experience and test work(Mark Webber flying Merc) so trusting some bespoke operation to have done all that correctly......?

I agree, the mods don't sound like enough on their own to extract 200 extra horsepower from an already highly effecient engine. As mentioned it would have to rev at very high rpm to acheive this which would likely require very light pistons, Ti rods & valves, superlight vavletrain components allround. I can see where the money has gone if they have managed it, but it aint easy and the result will be a car that is likely slower beneath 8000rpm than standard. In the real world the standard car would be much better to drive. Looks awful too, although the photoshop'd effort in white above shows it could look good if done differently.
