I was thinking exactly the same. I think I'll need to see one in the flesh befoer I make my mind up. The front end is a bit fussy isn't it.
He said it was dull, you agree but say its fussy? Classic pistonheads. Make your mind up indeed!
I'd say it's dull and fussy too! ;-)

Overall, it's an instantly forgettable shape. Look at it for a while longer and it's just over-styled with all the vents, slashes etc. Slightly dated looking too when you compare it, say, to the leap forward they made with the XJ.

Great looking car. I see the resemblance with the California, but I think this one looks much better. At least it doesn't remind me of a slightly daft smiling face.

I am more interested in the Coupe.

Manual, supercharged, this should be a fantastic car.

What are we expecting price-wise? 50k? Is this a Cayman competitor?

The problem is Jaguar have to try and please the middle management buyers in America who will never go for something too outlandish and it still has to look like a Jaaaag to please the traditionalists. I like it a lot, especially in red.

Nice, simple and modern styling.

I think the coupe looks better.

Too late to feature in the forthcoming Bond film which is a shame. I could see him in one. Hell I could see myself in one, but its not really the sort of car for my requirements.

Its just what Jag needs in these cash strapped times. It looks great but has a modesty about it which I think will work to its advantage.

The only thing I don't like are the bonnet vents, but that is my only criticim.

Fantastic looking thing, from every angle. Love it. Classic sports car profile, done very well. Love the front end, aggressive and well proportioned. Hopefully it'll sound nice, so you can enjoy the top down experience.

Surprised that this is getting quite a negative response when the c-x16 concept seemed to get an almost universally positive one.

It looks great to me and (surprisingly) seems to have stuck to the original concept very closely.

Hope the rear looks as good as the concept as that will really set it apart from rivals.

I'd say wait for the reveal before calling it dated. Lots of knees jerking in here.

Not a bad effort but it doesn't have the wow factor that it should have, imo, also the alloys are uninspired design wise.

Wouldn't turn one down, but wouldn't save up for one either, let alone sell my granny.

The big problem is that good old E-Type, which is just so much SEXIER.

Jags should be sleek. And sexy.
This is neither.

Handsome car.

Build it right and keep upgrading the specs and it's a winner.

Far prettier than the Cali.

The front end and back end look like they are from different cars. Presumably the XK facelift will take a lot of the same cues, thus rendering this indeed the boxster-style poor sister.

Looks nice, and welcome new additions to the "cars to drool over" sector (i.e. everything most things above £40k, as far as I'm concerned), but I don't think I'd buy one.

The price seems to be a secret ..

I'm hoping for 50k but have heard rumours of 70~80K which
would put me right off it.
