Red velour and dash route as spotted in some mk1 Cavaliers
What WERE we on in those days? I remember being in a toyota bluebird with full blue interior, and a cortina with a full brown-brownish/cream interior when I was little.
Perhaps it was influence from 70's american interiors.

haha, but at least that was more interesting than most cars today with black-black, black-grey, black-cream interiors!

Fashions change. In five to ten years time you won't be able to shift a dull, grey car from The Fatherland. Everybody will be lusting after the next big brightly coloured thing from Korea/Japan/France/UK...I remember being in a toyota bluebird with full blue interior, and a cortina with a full brown-brownish/cream interior when I was little.

I've got to agree with a lot of the comments above - 2.5 mill the wrong one to have, and the price is too high. There are a few Monza's knocking about for that money (ish) and they have the 3.0 mill. It would have to be a 3.0 'B' for me in either a Senator or Monza.
Find me an Opel Commodore (or whatever the Vauxhall equivalent was)... they float my boat (or is it 'barge'?). ;-)

My old man had a Monza in white.
Was just the E version (not GSE). Bloody lovely car, sounded nice and so comfy. This replaced a Gold Granada 2.8 Ghia
I lost my old man a few years ago but never did congratulate him on his choice of cars over the years. The Monza was replacement with a new E30 325i 3 door.

Dad had a 1990 12v CD with digital dash. Best car he's ever owned IMO to this day, totally massive boot for holidays and flew past most things on the road .
I've always wanted one but hardly any Senator's exist today .
Since the days of the Granada or Senator there hasn't been another 'blue collar' car.

Another example of a 'forgotten' car. I own a 1987 VW Passat GL5 estate, apparently there are only 57 of these left on the road in the UK.
I couldn't even find another one at a huge VW show 2 weeks ago and most people didn't have a clue what it was!
My old man used to have one of these back in the late 80s, early 90s. Really good car, massive boot space. C538 TGM, where are you now....?I couldn't even find another one at a huge VW show 2 weeks ago and most people didn't have a clue what it was!

I'd rather have the car my mate sold earlier this year for a lot less than this. A fairly tidy, mechanically sound 1993 Senator B 24v CD auto with 130k on the clock, part service history, and long MOT. Everything worked, even the air-con, and the 80's-tastic digi-dash. Full leather and fake wood interior and electric everything.
I went in it a couple of weeks before he sold it. Hauled up to 100 mph surprisingly quickly, and a prod of the throttle would lift the nose markedly even at this speed. They were so good, it was rumoured that Plod stockpiled them at the end of the production run.
He advertised it at £750 and got £675!
