RE: G-POWER 600hp 1M Coupe

what a ridiculous and utterly pointless car! I suppose that makes it 'cool' but seriously - a standard 1M coupe does 0-60 in 4.6sec and has similar torque to more torque than this crazy supercharged v8, with a simple remap or bigger turbos and a remap I reckon it would be faster than the g-power car!
EFACertainly agree for most roads that are real fun rather than big straights a slightly tuned 1M would be snapping at its heels.
I think I'd rather have a supercharged V8 in this ..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1786HyfmYsc .......
or a VXR8........ rather than in a 1 coupe.
I think the turbo 6 suits the 1 coupe nicely

0-62 in only 4.4?
With 600bhp i'd be dissappointed
Whilst I wholeheartedly applaud the lunacy of this I have to say that on the whole all of the performance figures are dissapointing. With 600bhp i'd be dissappointed
I can understand the 0-60 time being limited by available traction but the 0-125 and VMax are less than I would expect of a 600BHP 1M.

Also the 0-60 and 0-125 times for this car are much slower than the current M5 - which again is a bigger heavier car with less power.

So,0-125 the same as the best supercars and a 200+mph top speed, from a small coupe with 4 seats, what ,prey, is disapointing in that FFS?...Some people...............
MP4-12c, 458 and GT2RS have all been officially timed for 0-125 in <10 seconds.So,0-125 the same as the best supercars and a 200+mph top speed, from a small coupe with 4 seats, what ,prey, is disapointing in that FFS?...Some people...............
Not a surprise I know, but relevent to your argument I thought.

Only? 600bhp through the rear wheels only in a car thats not designed for it, seems pretty quick to me.
Dont know why people get so hung up on 0-60times means very little in the real world
Because the type of person who would buy this type of car will absolutely have to win a traffic light grand prix and when a bog standard M car or RS variant etc etc is able to keep up between your typical traffic light dash distance they will be gutted given how much they have no doubt spent.Dont know why people get so hung up on 0-60times means very little in the real world
My 23 yr old 450 wedge would probably only be a few yards behind over 60 yards or so ffs!

This type of person is more likely to be interested in dusting 911 Turbo's on the autobahn, and having something extremely rare.My 23 yr old 450 wedge would probably only be a few yards behind over 60 yards or so ffs!

With this level of power I'd insist on AWD. Therefore I'd opt for a 600bhp RS3 instead.
I am 100% confident this would be considerably more fun to drive.Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
