On a different subject, I've been looking at the Mobius video camera and just wonder if anyone on here can recommend a UK seller. The ebay seller recommended by Techmoan is based in China who quotes a very long delivery time. Also, has anyone purchased the additional kit with all the different mounts and cables included?

Excellent, thank you for the info.

Yes Joovuu are good, with free delivery in 2 days. Just purchased a second Mobius from them. My first came from Hong Kong and took about three weeks, but came with a free hardwire kit. Top little camera.

I`ve been dipping in and out of this topic for ages now and may have just come to a decision as I only really wanted to spend about £50.

A Mini 0801. Just a couple of questions though.

Is there an alternative mount for the 0801, maybe something that fastens to the rear view mirror would be an option for me or would the sticky mount of the 0801 stick to the back of the rear view mirror. It might vibrate though?

Also I`m looking to buy from Amazon, is E-Prance a Chinese supplier? If so I`ll look else where.
Mobius.

If you're only using the mobius as a dashcam, then it's recommended you swap the battery for a super capacitor and power via external usb.

Skip - afaict the Mobius batteries can die after a while (about a year?) from constant recharging by usb. Mine is losing date when i power off so i imagine it's a battery issue, but the supercapacitors store enough energy to save the file on powerdown and have enough to keep the mobius settings for a couple of weeks stood. Being aa capacitor it doesn't die over time with constant recharging

I've got £100 in Amazon vouchers so I think I'm going to go with the SJCAM M10 as I can use it as both a dash cam and as bike/helmet cam when out peddling. Plus an Ankers Astro external battery for the latter use as the internal battery doesn't last much over 90mins. Just got to push the BUY button ............am I doing the right thing?

Never knew that. Mine is 3 years old now, just checked it as not had it out of the car much and it is OK. *touches wood*

Very strange, was viewing the website www.joovuu.com yesterday just fine, but today when I tried viewing the site to possibly place an order it just came up as an empty white page. Can anyone else view the site?

This site is the one that is quoting delivery times of between two to three weeks from China, my biggest worry with ordering direct from China (apart from the long delivery time) is if there is a problem because the return postage will be very expensive and what will the after-sales support be like.

I've just placed an order via the Amazon link I quoted earlier for an 0801 dash cam with a 32GB SD card for £47.99 with free super saver delivery and an estimated delivery date of between Sat 14th Feb - Tue 17th Feb. If I had paid an additional charge for 1st class the estimated delivery date would be Wed 11th Feb.

Will let you know when it arrives and whether it works!

UPDATE: Am very very impressed, I received an email this morning from Amazon saying that the item was out for delivery today (Tue), and true to form, a small parcel containing the 0801 dash cam was delivered at approx 12:15 today which is astoundingly good considering I only ordered the item yesterday morning!

Have powered it up and changed the time/date settings (watch the tech moan review to see how to do this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZdPHXv8Hzj8 and note that he shows how to adjust the settings of the 0801 approx 10 minutes into the video).

Did you go for this?

It looks like the kind of thing I'm looking for, for the same reasons as you.

Not noticed this, but I'd imagine you'd need exceptional eyesight to spot my camera in your rear view mirror.

Hi.
I have added a few posts to this thread as I have been umming and ahhing whether to get an 806 or an 805. Like a lot on here, the 806 seemed to be 'the one' on paper, but the reality appears to be somewhat different..!
Now this is my 'current favorite' - anyone got anything good or bad to say about the Blackvue DR600GW HD. It's A LOT more than the other 2, but I like the idea behind the smartphone app (although in some reviews it seems that the download time is very s l o w ....)
Cheers
