I find the best setting for the Mobius is HD 1080p, low light setting and 60 fps. Can read number plates fine without issue in most circumstances.
It's on 1080p and 60fps don't remember a low light setting so that's probably default.

Not sure if it is but there has been a newer software update a few months back with a lot of new options and settings.

Here is a clip from mine, I was a bit wary of this van as I had witnessed his driving prior to this. I may have been in his blindspot too, not that that excuses him mad

Well spotted smile

Forgetting about the double whites even if they were not there he was too close to the oncoming car.

You can see how small the gap was between him and the car he overtook as they pass me.

If you are going to overtake like that get a fast car and do it safe and not on double solid whites

I fitted the mobius to the other car while i'm waiting for the 0803(never got around to fitting it to the 300 just couldn't get it mounted properly.

not really a near miss for me but he was very close to the car in front and he had to force his way in front of the car he overtook on double whites.(mind you if he had crashed i probably would have been caught up in it at that closing speed)

couple of things i noticed as its only the first time i've checked the camera since fitting it a few days ago.

1)quality isn't good enough to read the cars number plate
2)it took me ages to find the clip
3)i sound like a right dick I repeated because my daughter said what from the back shes learning to drive so im pointing things out to her anyway.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EQrd9kWZhiQ

But....

I had another near miss at the start of the journey very similar to the one above, car changing lanes. which clearly showed he was in the other lane before forcing me to avoid him. so its about time i sorted out the whole fleet i think.
Weird but the time stamp is massive on that video compared to every other clip from a mobius (including my own) I've seen.

Not sure what you mean time time stamp but the camera is set to 5 minute clips I seem to recall.

Vid was obviously a lot longer but edited it to show the 'incident' 10 seconds or so as I didn't think you would want to hear me talk ste for 5 minutes smile

Does the mobious have gps? Where are you seeing this time stamp time and date is in bottom left corner

Or do you mean the time and date is the time stamp and the actual characters are large rather than the length of the clip?

I mean the actual size of the time overlay/font on the video in the bottom left, it looks unusually big if you compare it to for example skip_1's video above.

Yes thanks. Just figured it out. Don't know much about vid clip tech speak but I should have worked that out quicker.

heh no probs, it just seemed odd. As mentioned maybe it might be firmware related but it should be able to pick up plates on videos like that even with the lower lighting.

I've used one of these and they are not a patch on an 0801 or a Mobius.
My prefured in car camera at the moment after testing a few is the Mobius, for quality, size, software and stability and for a price of around £42.

Do you ever report stuff to the police?
30mph limit here, though not for some... LC10KTX
In our area there have been several crashes involving police chases recently, so they might consider this a bit of a priority...innit.

Hi guys. After reading through lots of posts and pages on here I've ordered a mini 0801 with the 32gb card option. Question though, whats the best way to power it? I don't like to cables hanging loose so I will probable drop the head lining and run the cables down the A pillars.

With mine (and with most cars I think) you can just tuck the wire up in the crack between the headlining and the screen all the way round the screen and down the A pillar, where at the bottom you loop back along the side of the dash and down near the door back under the dash. A spot of blu-tak can help in places.
The worst part left is the 4 or 5 inches or so down from the top of the screen to the stuck-on pad. This part looks a bit untidy from the passenger seat, but can't be seen from the driver's seat.
