Small tip, unplug the bloody thing when you park up, an Elise battery wont power it for a week and then start the car. frown

This was earlier, close shave! Recorded on my Mini 0805 cam, still not happy with the recording quality for a camera that got very good reviews? Is there anyway I an make it record clearer?
I was underwhelmed by the picture quality of the 0805 and sent it back.

Annoyingly my 0803 is playing up now and stops recording randomly. I've done a reset and formatted the SD card in case it's that but if it keeps doing it, it's going back too - I've only had it about 6 months I think. In fact I just checked and it was November last year I got it...

I have one and found it a bit mushy too, far worse than my Mobius and possibly even the older DR32.

I *think* partly it could be the lens is slightly out of focus, it has been mentioned, there are instructions online for opening and adjusting it.

Just bought and installed an 0801 into my work van - running it with a Samsung Class 6 32GB card. First day with it looks OK - locked a couple of files, will see if they get overwritten or not tomorrow! I wasn't expecting much, but the picture's very acceptable, sound is audible, and for the price I'm very happy.

So this happened to me on Monday...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hpd2U1lu9PU&fe...

So glad i had a cam. I think a polarizing filter will be a good idea though but from the original i can still make out all plates.

How can they not have noticed you, they'd only just passed you on the inside?!

You'll be very glad you've got the footage - I had something similar happen to me and the insurance Co said it would go 'knock for knock' until I said I could provide dashcam footage. I'm still waiting for it all to be sorted out, but hopefully that footage will save me £500 in repairs which I've had to pay for...

They have already admitted liability. Watch the video again and note the white Juke join the carriageway. To be fair to the guy in the scenic he just reacted.

Ahh... see it now... The guy who hit me admitted liability at the scene and said he was going to phone the insurance "straight away" - still hasn't phoned them or admitted hitting me.

Including the Juke's? If so will the Insurance/Police be tracing them? Just curious

Yes including the Juke. The police don't want to pursue the Juke it seems.

Wish I'd had a rear facing again last night, need to get around to it.

Ring road, car to my left entering a roundabout. He'd had plenty of opportunity to move across to the right as he was some way ahead of me and had to wait to enter the roundabout, which was how I was next to him.

He starts to drift across, but not all the way, I'm already mostly past him so accelerate and take the second exit, which was ahead (two lanes). Surprised to then not see him exit just after me. Look in my rear view and he has gone right.

No indication on the roundabout, or on the approach.

Well thats largely a non event ! . Evoque didnt cause any of the drivers on the roundabout to brake or alter their course, I call that making progress

I had to replace the battery in my blackvue after the original died
found one from my mini RC helicopter.

the supplier said the camera was dead and should be replaced.
