I forgot to mention that you need to click on the thumbnails and zoom in to full size before making comparisons between the images.
I did. Still preferred the 0806 quality. Fair points on the other comparisons though. Got night shots to compare? I have the 0801 and is fine for most of my driving tbh.R8VXF said:

I have the 0801 and is fine for most of my driving tbh.Have to agree with you about the 0801 because I purchased an 0801 last year which I am still using and I'm been very pleased with, the video quality is excellent in the daytime, though not so good in low light or dark conditions. It's actually better at recording sharp footage of oncoming car number-plates than the 0806 which is quite astonishing considering the price difference between and 0801 and an 0806.
Also, the 0806 and Mobius accept micro SD cards larger than 32GB. The 0806 has twin SD card slots but there is currently a flaw in that only one card is written to which isn't very useful. Have tested both cameras using 64GB and 128GB class 10 micro SD cards and they have both worked flawlessly without any problems (providing they are formatted FAT32 on your PC or Mac).
The 0806 has to be honest been a bit of a let-down for me and many other owners, many of the add-ons don't currently work, it's reliability has been somewhat patchy to date, GPS is somewhat hit and miss, with the mk1 and mk2 models being somewhat problematic. When it is finally sorted it will be fantastic, in the meantime I would stay put with the 0801 or buy the Mobius.
Disclaimer: I have no connection with the manufacturer of the 0801 - 0806 range of dash cams or the Mobius or any other dash cam for that matter, I just enjoy technology and have a keen interest in CCTV of all kinds and appreciate that installing an decent quality dash cam will save a lot of grief in the event that I'm involved or witness an accident.

Back on topic. I just posted a clip showing the quality of image from the Nextbase, I'm glad to have it fitted.

I'm not sure if there's anything you can do to improve the quality, but watching back on YouTube, 1080p full screen, it's rather hard to read number plates, even if pausing the video. https://youtu.be/DFS-Ykx-nds

It will look better from the cam - youtube mushes a lot of fine detail with it's compression even at 1080p.Has anyone tried any of the CHEAP eBay cams? My dad has been looking at them but I just can't see them being any good...

For the money, the quality of the Mobius is exceptional. Is it as good at night?
No idea - it only arrived this morning! Its got the "C" wide angle lens, so the view is quite big. I had to collect a parcel earlier, so once it was charged I popped out for a quick go. Next step is to play with the settings a bit and locate it properly - then hardwire it in.
Screen grab from the video (to show the wide angle)
On the way home from work yesterday I witnessed someone go through a red light...
Footage can be seen here (Smooth radio is to blame for the music, so apologies in advance)

Not even subtle about it. It's about as blatant as it gets!

Mildly OT but shows how witnesses without benefit of action replays can get it wrong.

I'd decided after uploading the footage that I should report the incident to the police, which I did. They're coming round this afternoon to view the footage.
