What's the difference between the twin headlight and square headlight XJ40s?

Twin headlight is smaller engine IIRC. Same as name on plate or plain script on the rear, again IIRC.

So very wrong. Specsavers and all that...

The round headlights look so much more modern, and have dated much better. IMHO etc.

iirc the 2.9 and some of the Sports were twin lamps but I think they chopped and changed a fair bit.

I thought square = six cylinder, twins = V12.

Oh I agree the squares look more dated, but I still prefer them.

Is everyone guessing re the difference between twins and squares, or does anyone actually know?

Oh... Mon President, that W124 Coupe looks perfect, but for the absence of cylinders.
