LHD said: It appears if you tell the truth and put motor trade on your personal insurance then vaseline would be advisable... What's the reason for that - not as if they're covering you for trade work is it? I remember there's a similar hike for celebrities, because if you're a celebrity you're likely to earn a lot and more probably to have other celebrities in your car. Hence a risk of high personal claims. Sounds like tosh. Quentin Wilson must be seen as a Double Threat by the car insurance industry!

Every taxi here in Munchen is a spanking new, highly specced E Class Merc.
Yet the fares are very reasonable.
So my economics calculator is broken - are they state subsidised or summat??

I love how they rock on their tyres as they drive along. A bit like tractors on low pressure tyres but with more implied menace.

Of course he had what looked like the front wheels from a Morris Marina.
After a brief chat at the lights he gave it some, pure filth and made my relatively unsilenced V8 sound like a purring cat to his lion's roar.

If you 'only' want to spend £100, you should look out for one in Lidl or Aldi. A Karcher will cost you £200-300.
