And then realised that they do 10mpg at 70mph - literally. Went for a Td5 in the end. No lovely V8 noise

POP RIVETS AND CHECKER PLATE FOR 90K, NAFF AND NASTY, ENGINE SOUNDS LIKE AND OLD SD1 ROVER , IF IT WAS 20K IT WOULD STILL BE OVER PRICED.
A bit on the harsh side there. A lot of time and effort has been put in putting that car together. If it were down to me i'd use aero-spec fastners and rivets (countersunk if needed) wherever possible, nylon washers to prevent disimilar corrosion and stainless nuts, bolts washers etc. Along with a full galvanised chassis and bulkhead and soldered joints and terminals in the wiring loom.
Then when putting it back together extra care taken shimming the panels, doors etc so they fit together correctly and look right.
The old issue of water leaks, every seal, gasket joint, and mating surface would have the addition of a sealing compound during assembly which doesnt happen at the factory.
I reckon that'll care of any issues further on down the years.
JE take a standard Defender and apply their heavily engineered Zulu package. The package is just the engine and full drive train and suspension etc. There are some extras that are trim related but you are paying JE for a transplant of running gear. The owner supplies the vehicle.
How the vehicle looks trim wise at the end is down to the owner.

However anyone would be MAD to pay 90k for this car.
You can have a brand new one for less and it will be RHD and not have the ridiculous bits.
I see this 110 as a £50k vehicle at most.
JE have one of their own Liberator 90's for sale at the moment - a 2009 car with minimal miles at just over £30k - less than the cost of the package!
The liberator has all the same suspension mods, brakes etc, but makes do with a 4.4 V8 without a supercharger but is virtually as quick.

That's fair enough, I have had 3 td5's, 2 200tdi's and a 300tdi's all great, but oh had issues driving them but auto was ok hence the 50th. And then realised that they do 10mpg at 70mph - literally. Went for a Td5 in the end. No lovely V8 noise
My new one is lpg converted as it happens so we will see how that goes
Love your new one Harry especially the seats !! Need some new seats for the 50th

I love this. Looks absolutely bad ass. Yes its a lot of money but I would take this over a 90k V8 range rover any day, let alone a porsche. This thing is awesome on so many levels, did I mention I love it?
Although, as already alluded to, you could buy a nearly new Defender for under £20k and send it to JE with a cheque for £45+vat and get one a little cheaper. The engineering on these is lovely and the noise much nicer than that video but I can't fathom the price tag.

THIS IS THE STYLE OF BUILD THAT IS SEEN OUTSIDE OF EVERY CHIP SHOP ON A FRIDAY NIGHT, IS IT NOT TIME THAT CUSTOMIZERS SAW CHECKER PLATE AS WAY PAST ITS USE BY DATE, THE ENGINE SOUNDS LIKE A CLIP FROM BLAZING SADDLES (POST BEANS).
Well if we weren't sure that you were trolling the first time round, at least now we know for definite. It's an awesome piece of engineering at a slightly mad price, but hey, why not make it?! And if they can sell it at that, fair play. It's still going to be better off road than the majority of other 'off-roaders' on the market at the moment.
