Despite being only 20 and (as of 2 weeks ago) now owning a 400bhp saloon, nothing im going to own anytime soon will likely feel crazy fast after a couple hour journey in a certain PHer's Noble M12. wobblewobblewobblelaugh

Thanks for that Mr Blade. Unfortunately the statement is completely redundant in a thread entitled 'So, is your CAR fast'

otherwise we would get...

Motorbikes are NOT fast.
Jet fighters are though.
Jet fighters are mickey mouse toys, if you want to go properly quick you need an SR-71. The fastest jet fighters run out of puff at about Mach 2, the Habu didn't up on it's cams until Mach 3 and was happier at Mach 3.5+ and was only limited by the laws of thermodynamics.
SR-71 can't do M3.5 sorry.

Yes - very fast.

1350kg RX7 with 420bhp 420lbs ft 6.0 V8

Feels twice as quick as the 4.0 240bhp Chimaera I had before, which the majority of the public would consider to be a fast car.

328 Touring is quick enough.
MK Indy R could use more power (~170hp at the moment).

Horses for courses.

Honda prelude vti 2.2 auto, pretty slow really but god the noise above 5k is mental.

All of my past cars have been sub 200bhp, but some nice sounding ones.. The v6 in maxda mx3 wassmooth like molasses .

I had a 1.8 mgf with a miltek exhaust and to me engine noise means a lot more than how fast it goes. but I was never a competitive person, more the flow of the car is my way.

I used to own a 4th gen JDM 2.2 Lude with the basic autobox. Probably the most fun car I have owned, mainly because it cost me £400 so I was never afraid of crashing it as it owed me sod all.

Currently drive a Galant VR4, around 280bhp with 4wd and a weight of just over 1500kg. Factory 0-60 time on 5.9 seconds so not as fast as some of the cars on this thread but fast enough for me at the moment. It's more about the power delivery and the fact that it can seat 5 people an still make brisk progress.

That's interesting because i was caning a bloke on his kawasaki hari kari special, or whatever, on the way back from uni. A6 from stockport eastwards if anyone knows it, nice road with some nice corners when there aren't any bloody lorries about. On the straights he left me but throuth the corners he was terrible.

Bikes are fast but in a less interesting way imo

2.0 Litre petrol Megane II. 136 of the finest french ponies poncing under the bonnet = slow.

Having had a TVR Cerbera 4.5, pretty much everything i've been in since doesn't get considered as being fast.

However, fun is a different word. My mates Golf VR6 is fun, as is his 1.6 80/90bhp Kit car. Not fast, but fun.

The Ultima can give a biker a shock, even in a straight line, but especially under braking and round the corners!
