Im liking all this love for rapid estates smile

Theres somthing immensely cool about being able to spank 90% of the "sporty" cars on the road while still having room to carry a sofa in the back at the same time cool

I like most styles of car.

However, as I've just bought one, I should say roadster.

Estates. Can't see me driving a hatchback again.

An M3 touring would be simply perfect thanks.

The Saab Aero is a reasonably quick estate, if nowhere near RS6/RS4 territory, but to be honest I wasn't that bothered about the performance. A big comfy estate is just a really useful car to own, and I wouldn't really be willing to compromise the usability and comfort to get more performance.

No favourites. Every shape and size of car has at least one or two models that pique my interest.

If you love cars, they are a bit like kids.

You can even love the odd looking ones.

I can't decide on a set genre. I would like to have one of every type.
Is that greedy?
I agree. A minimum "complete garage" would at least have:

A stationwagon for daily commuting (BMW 3-series Touring is perfect)
A supercar with a mid-engine and F1 style paddles would be a plus
An oldschool/vintage car (Fiat 500 F Nuova)
A super basic, no electronic, low weight machine (Caterham 7)
A low budget offroader with some fuzz that I can afford to use properly (Subaru Forester XT)
A smooth GT with rear seats for kids (Jag XK or Aston DBS)

I don't think it's about being greedy. I just like driving in different type of cars, totally depending on the mood.
Today I have a 87 BMW 518i E28 and a 92 CRX 1.6. The BMW is the daily driver (6000 km. driven and totally reliable) and a fantastic car to cruise around in on a sunny Sunday. The Honda is a frantic driving toy that I take every time I get the itch to drive fast (relative, of course).

Things are getting better economically and this winter I'm looking to add a 2004 Subaru Forester XT because I want to experience some off-roading, driving on dirt rally style and because it seems like fun on snow. During spring I'm trading the Honda in for a basic 1.6 120hp Caterham. Later on I'm definitely selling the E28 and buying a newer 3-series Touring and a Fiat 500 F Nuova. Not greedy, just addicted - and I don't mind!!

Every single time the mood is perfect and when I'm in either of my cars, I think "I live for these days" and enjoy grinning like an idiot alone in the car smilesmile

Happy motoring!

Doing well until mention of multiple turbos nonobiggrin

However, the photo is wonderful. If ever there was a case of 116i Bangle on steelies being very, very wrong Vs the opposite, that is it. Looks 100% right IMHO.
