That engine is actually the Nissan SR20DET, probably from a 180SX or Silvia. Looks like a big turbo so probably 400hp+.
Looks more like an RB series engine to me.

the rear wheels might spin 35 miles for every gallon of fuel, but i'd imagine the car goes slightly less far.

Looks like a long (chromed) steering arm under the lefthand side.
