Just seen in the back of the new Retro Ford mag that next month they will be featuring a.... 1200bhp Koenigsegg powered Granada! :O
Last month Fast Ford had a V10 Viper engined Sierra. Its lunacy to put such engines in cars like that but I cant help but love them and the idea! Whats your favourite crazy engine swaps?

The guy at le mans a fair few years ago with a scabby sierra with that viper engine in.
Turned up for the drag racing, pissed on the local with an m3, then left.

God, this threads just given me a flashback. In the 90s a similar wild engine swap featured in a car mag (Fast Ford? Max Power?), again it was a Sierra but I recall the boot being filed with concrete in an attempt to balance the car, anyone recall anything like that?

There's a video on youtube of a renault 5 with a rover v8 - sounds absolutely mental I will try to dig it up later :-)

Fiat 500 V8 dragster smokin

Okay, not so much an engine swap as a complete rebuild, but I had to share the lunacy.

Cheating a little but this is my favourite.

The Evo powered 4x4 C2 from on here and the Czech twin 3.2 V6 Lupo are two of my faves

A friend and I had a Honda acty pick up and an XJS.... It never did run but it was fun trying!

Thinking back, the Honda's twin cylinder engine was never gonna pull a lardy XJS far was it smile

Seriously, over drink fuelled conversations we decided to put the V12 and auto box into the pick up bed, I suppose it could have been made to work but we ran out of enthusiasm.
