finally some of Ian's creations have made it here. Seeing these things run the 1/4 mile is a pretty special site.

Are there any pics of his rear engined, Rwd polo? Looked mad seeing a polo go sideways.
I used to drive from Leeds to Wigan to get Dubsport to look after my G60. There was always some nice metal around there! What happened to them all?

I went to a tractor-pulling contest and one tractor had twin Rolls-Royce Merlin engines! That's two x V12 27 litres.

I've always had a soft spot for Volvo wagons. This one may not be looney enough for this thread, but it's so well executed.

Best car in the thread so far. Stunning execution. Koenningsegg employee iirc.

Like that - is there a build thread?
Not sure tbh I only know about through friends, I'll have a google
ETA: found this http://passionford.com/forum/general-car-related-d...
I found that one and, with the lack of detail, assumed there might be another one somewhere. Sounds like there isn't, sadly frown

Some of them run twin Griffons (2x37 litres). However, these are now becoming less comeptitive in the face of 4 or 5x Chevy big block installations. They make almost as much power as the aero monsters in a more reliable fashion (up the supercharger boost on a Griffon and you start stretching head bolts), and weigh a lot less - which is important as tractor pulling is classified by weight

Same, im fine with a superchargers + scoop sticking a bit through the hood, but these huge stacks...

Surely those engines sticking out of the bonnet like that can't be road legal? Obscured vision and all that!
Judging by the tires (rear ones esp.) those are pure drag cars, and you'd be surprised by the crap you can do in the states.

I hear you can run full slicks over there, not 100% sure but I seem to remember an owner screaming about with them fitted
