I was walking down an A road today with my husband & my 10 week old daughter in her pram when I suddenly heard a very loud bang, accompanied by a whoosh of air up my leg as I saw a 53 plate A3 shoot past me on the pavement! Not only had he mounted the curb in town, but it was also a single carriageway and a 30 limit in town! Forgive me if I am wrong, but I'm sure that hitting a curb at the suggested in-town limit of 30 mph does not force the air out of the tyre so hard that it blows. As if that wasn't bad enough (and believe-you-me I was shaking like a leaf & using language that I really hope my daugheter NEVER uses) the foreign bugger had the gaul to suggest that he though it was a 2 lane stretch of road! I don't know how many of you know Northampton, but between the Trumpet & Abington Park Cresent on the Wellinborough Road, it is all ONE LANE! He actually managed to blow his tyre on a left hand turn. The "2 lanes" he imagines involves a hatched middle section. I rang the police who informed me that if he had not hit anything & there were no witnesses, there was nothing they could do. On the plus side, he was driving a UK registered car, but does that really excuse driving like a t**t & pretending he didn't know any better? What would it have changed if he had hit a post or even us?!! In case you wanted to avoid the t**t his reg was OW 53 LOD & he sounded more German than anything else!
PS. I have an A3 & hubbie has a BMW. Neither of us condone this sort of behaviour!

Look, is your husband a member here? We need to have a word with him about letting the Doris post up the likes of this.

My tyre was unrepairable when I hit a kerb at 30mph, blew a massive hole in it. I wasn't driving like a t t at the time, I was swerving to avoid a t t who almost hit me.

My point, possibly not conversed very well, was that, there are many people behaving how they wish to behave and all you can do for now is at best learn from others how not to be, not to judge other actions by your ideals but by your actions, to strive to live before you die rather than worry about dying before you have lived... The comment had nothing to do with lust on any level... I am often that fella, crashing around, helping others out, zooming away from situations life isn't always black and white you need to take a step back and not let those hurt you or for that matter let yourself hurt yourself
